LSU 14, ARKY 7 1966 Cotton Bowl, enabling BAMA to claim legitimate Natty by beating Nebraska in Orange Bowl that nite. Strange things can happen.

Also 1949 Cinderella Seniors defeated SEC Champions Tulane 21-0. Tigers were huge underdogs, Slaughtered 35-0 by Wilkinson's Sooners in Sugar Bowl.

Yep. UF 97 was monumental. I was a freshman in the Tiger Band that year. Still the absolute loudest I have ever heard a crowd anywhere in any stadium at any point in my life. I still have a little chunk of the field and a piece of the goalpost foam (I have no idea why) from that game.

Lol me too. I have purple and gold/“yellow” endzone grass in a glass container

they lost to FSU in ‘96 regular season so their win streak was in single digits for that game.

It was an SEC winning streak, not an overall winning streak.

I think LSU beat the top ranked razorbacks like 6-3 or something in the cotton bowl late 60’s.
14-7 in 1966......

Well, not sure about the biggest underdog, but LSU was definitely not given a chance against Florida in 97. Loudest, most raucous crowd I’ve ever been a part of, couldn’t talk right for a couple days after that game.
