If Alabama tries to block Brad Wing' punt he will be the first punter flagged for unnecessary roughness

I'll take Wing's word for it, if you don't mind

Your lack of comprehension skills might confuse you, but just watch this video and notice the difference in the first two kicks (against bama).

Another look at the first kick - no delay, no read.

Wing's occasional delayed kick, coupled to his zero return average, makes coming after his kicks, a worthy risk for a Bama that was scoring challenged at home in the first game.

I think LSU will be prepared for this.

I've heard Wing describe the "delayed" kick as well, and how the "fake" against UF was a fake etc., but Miles has said on a few occasions that sometimes they tell him to just kick it, and sometimes they give him the option. They let him make the call.

No need to be nasty.

Brad Wing HIMSELF said that there is not a "call" for the hesitation. He reads the rush and hesitates to allow for the 2 things I mentioned.

He was asked SPECIFICALLY if there was a "play call" for the hesitate / read. And, he said 'No. It is how I kick'

I am going by that.

I'm sure our O-line will just let them waltz right to Wing

from the second video, that is a very short kick and the defender is quickly in position. Most of the delays I've seen are on longer kicks. I'm sure he checks the rush though, and if the block is on he isn't going to say "oh well, the delay was called."

I agree with the OP. Wing is a tremendous weapon for us, and Saban's too smart not to try to plan to make the kicking game less powerful.

me neither. he has shanked a couple but no blocks that i can recall.

the more I think about it Im positive it was this year, late in a blowout (yea narrows it ) I think it was either UF or UK. I remember thinkin what the hell? but it was not at a critical time

I also remember thinking it was some what a delayed kick, waited a bit to long and a player got just a piece, still went forward but was short

again not a critical moment at all

eta: I think it was WKU actually

The delay and run vs UF was from midfield.

Plays right into Lesticles hand, should Bama bring the heat Wing will dump the ball to Clement just beyond the rush for a 60 yard TD...The Mad Hatter wins again...Bama fans claim blind luck and still hold their 14th MNC party

if you recall, that was a second kick after a penalty. Clement told Wing that everyone on the left side retreated on the first one. Wing responded accordingly.

4444 is determined to worry about this so that's his problem.

It's not a worry, it's just a "prediction". I am not scared they'll block one, just saying I think they'll try.
