Baker's blitz scheme the entire night was not either executed probably or called properly..

a lot of times it seemed like the blitzers were going through the same gap on top of blitzing at the wrong time..

Dline stunts seemed non-existent as well.

Blake either needs to be all in or all out. If your known for blitzing and physical cover corners then live by it. Going to soft zone when you basically shut them down all 2nd half was idiotic. And i don’t even know what to say about that 3rd Down call when our defense came out in I Formation

Isn't this essentially what we did on Ole Miss' final drive that allowed them to march down the field for the winning score? I don't understand why he repeatedly goes away from what's working in favor of something that doesn't work.

It didn't "work" a single time IIRC.

We played significantly less man and quarters coverage than I was expecting. We are playing more Cover 2 and Cover 3 than I would expect from Blake and the two decent throwing QBs we have faced have been able to have success against it.

Now I will say if we stop the run in the first half like we did in the second by playing sound gap controlled defense then the coverage we played against Kentucky wouldn't have been a big issue. But if we play a lot of Cover 2 and Cover 3 against Kamario Taylor and Russell we are going to get carved up.
