Why should he? What does the team gain or benefit from MIles making an announcement about this?

So idiots on a message board can have more days to bitch and say man that hurts, it going to be a high scoring game or LSU is going to lose now.

He's going to address it AFTER the game because the GAME is the focus for him and for the team right now. Suspended players are not his concern at the moment. Players that are playing tomorrow are his concern right now.

Not at all... from all accounts, Bain has worked really hard in the summer, dropped some weight and toned up, and has been very solid in camp. Gilmore still has some work to do, but Bain is ready and going to play a lot.

Dude... I'm not saying hold a freaking press conference or some shite. Just tell a LSU beat writer before they leave that these guys are suspended or isn't playing due to injury. Instead, the team leaves and heads to Houston. Then we get diff reports that slowly leak from diff people that this player is suspended and that player is suspended, and then people start guessing and assuming things and have no idea what's going on, look at the thread from earlier. And it's the day before the game...

that is a personal issue, not a LSU issue. Calm the frick down. Blame the folks that are guessing and reaching, and blame yourself for listening.

You're a smart enough guy. Understand Les and how he works... He'll never mention a suspension, ever, even after the fact. It's a withholding from play, and certainly never discussed pre-game.

Even when we KNOW guys are suspended, Les will stay quiet. He's protecting our guys.

Les has done a good job of keeping the team problems under wraps this year. Because I didn't know we had so many fricking problems

And yea Ed I know that... But like TigerNation said, we had no idea we had all these issues and they are with guys we are depending on. We all thought it was a clean offseason for us outside of Mills. Day before the season opener, boom we are missing our starting CB and a DT that would see a lot of PT and could be a breakout player for our D. When everyone was under the assumption that it was a non eventful offseason.

And I love that Les keeps a lot of things in house and tries to protect his guys and what not. I really do. But you don't get suspended for minor things...

Dude, why does it matter to you? LSU will play the same tomorrow no matter when it was announced. You'll cheer them in just the same.

We who? You personally? The Rant? Are you not understanding the fact that the general fan's knowledge of suspensions are totally irrelevant to the football team? Les Miles does not care if you know about suspensions.

More than likely this is not something that happened recently. He probably has known for a while he was sitting the first game. It's not in Miles or the teams interest to show their hand until the need too. Some players can be motivated by chewing their arse and some need to ride the bench. I trust the coach.
