Did anybody catch Fowler's comment after the game last night to Saban? He commented about Saban's BCSNC at LSU and how he left it set up for Miles to win also. Saban did not respond to it. However, I commented during the game how much Bama looked like the LSU teams from just a few years back. McElroy plays like Flynn and the D was very fast and aggressive.

I caught it.

He seemed to particularly enjoy sneaking that in there, for whatever reason.

I noticed it too.

It goes to show how no one respects Miles anymore. Les needs a big win against Saban and an 11+ win season next year to gain some of it back.

When I checked the Rant's front page I was expecting to see more posts discussing this...

I did catch it, and despite what the majority of the Rant, and all Miles Apoogists believe...it's the truth. It's the Elephant in the room when it comes to discussing Miles abilities as a coach. Miles walked into a great situation (just like Coker...another comparrison that Miles Apologists love to try to controvert). That championship was his to lose...and he almost did.

I said it right after i heard it. Fowler is an arse. Didn't hear that Meyer won with Zook's recruits.

3 yrs ago was highly offended at any mention of Miles winning with Saban's players, but after last 2yrs of Miles running his program, I have to agree with them.

Fowler also referred to LSU as a fraud for more than half of this season, even when nobody was suggesting that LSU was NC bound.

Fowler also constantly crapped on our '03 title...saying USC really deserved it.

Fowler is a useless tool
I wish Rece Davis would take his spot on Gameday.

I meant McElroy wasn't flashy just steady. Although, not good numbers last night. "Game Manager"

Fowler was right. Saban left a team that could win with just about any monkey with a headset.

Saban had more to do with our '07 NC than Miles did.

that wasn't a compliment. It was a slap at Miles IMO.

So to be a game manager, all you have to do is hand the ball off 50 times?

I agree, Miles did his part. It could also be argued he had the best team in 2006, too. But he succeeded in blowing that one.

We're stuck with sloppy seconds, imv.
