My GOD when will it end? Must we have this thread every single home game week? Same arguments... "It gets the players hyped," "Calling Baton Rouge is hickabilly." Why can't people enjoy the game? Why does it matter what music is playing? I dont go to Tiger Stadium on a Saturday in the fall for the music. If you want to hear a song, put it on your phone and play it on a constant loop through some headphones. I am fully prepared for downvotes so I dont care... flame away!

Interesting that this issue is so desperately important to the OP.
Must lead a very meaningful, rewarding, adult life...

Never heard of it, but it sounds trashy and ghetto.

For someone who doesn't want people to care about what music is played, you sure seem to care a whole bunch. I'm think that perhaps you DO care.

Did I even once advocate for either song? No, I advocate for this thread to stop popping up EVERY SINGLE WEEK by some idiot who says
quote:

B**** I'm from Louisiana better be played this weekend
as though they will cause the downfall of LSU football if it is not.

Doesn't matter what WE think of the song. Fact is, the players get hyped for it, and that's what we need on special teams.
So playing rap music motivates them for what? Murdering a cop or being a racist by constantly dropping the "N" word. No civilized person wants to hear rap music. Let the band play.

Wow those are some impeccable debate skills. I must study your ways...

1.) Read comment, ignore basis of comment, and then make assumption that has nothing to do with comment.

2.) Read rebuttal, ignore basis of rebuttal, and comment using statistics that only prove when someone is logged on to a forum and responding to my own stupidity.

3.) Sit back and ignore the fact that the opposition still has yet to lean one way or another regarding music as opposed to redundant posts.

4.) TBD- I will await your next move to learn more about how to be a troll.

Were you there Saturday? LSU tried to play the good host and treated the gameday atmosphere as if it was not our home game. Any piped in music was very bland and nothing was done to incite a crowd's reaction. The band had every opportunity to get the crowd into the game. Honestly, it was a very dull atmosphere.

By one of those people, you must mean that I do not want to hear profanity piped in over the loud speakers then yes I am. It's a shame our band cannot play because people insist on screaming vulgar chants after ever song. I guess you are one of them. Well congratulations for taking our band out of the game.

Does Calling Baton Rouge motivate people to become truck drivers and have one night stands with women in Baton Rouge? Then obsessing over her so much they the write a song about calling her constantly???

Right, we should be playing rap music in our stadium... especially on national TV. Classy...would go right along with the SC hospitality thing.

Some people get so caught up in their racism they forget things. You know, like they forget they are talking about LSU players; they forget there are white kids on the team; they forget that some cops are killed by white people who listen to redneck music.
