Why? Etling needs as many reps as possible. Unless we are up by 40+ In the 4th or Etling gets hurt, Harris should not see the field again. Putting Harris in would be wasted snaps.

I would have liked to have seen him come in, even with the backups, and run the spread. He is NOT a pro style QB, but the spead may be right up his alley. It is also one more thing for an opposing DC to prepare for. Lastly, if DE goes down, we are ten shades of fricked with BH attempting anything in this system.

Etling needs all the game time he can get going into the stretch. Good call by CEO to keep him in there.

Suppose he gets injured?

Always have another QB ready to go.

Is anyone else curious as to how Harris would perform in this new offense?

Yes. I am curious. I suspect he would be suddenly and miraculously not bad now that he's rid of the idiot.

But, Etling has the job and is doing well. Let it play out.

Sure. Not enough to unseat Etling, though. No doubt Harris has the physical tools.

yeah. Honestly, I think it would have been a smart call to have BH come in for legit reps when the last two games got out of hand.

But, I also do understand that they're still in adjustment mode and so, there's an argument that Etling still needs reps.

If it were me, BH would have played.

Why question a decision that is working in LSU's favor?

Etling has a high FB IQ, which BH doesn't have.

Reads well and can check down his options, which is something BH couldn't do.

I was always hoping BH would recover and progress, but he didn't .

In practice is one thing, kind of like saying the plan looked good on paper, but the results were not there.
