This is just the beginning. I'm afraid this signals the end of LSU football as we know it.

Exactly! You admit it right there. You don't know jack shite but that didn't stop you from throwing your stupid theory into the mix did it?

I know talented people are leaving Orgeron's staff to take less money for a less stable program. Meanwhile less qualified people are moving up the ranks.

AT has been successful in recruiting Tennessee kids. Not so much local

Not to downplay the job Austin did at LSU, but I'm tired of reading your ignorant posts. Austin was instrumental in get ONE Tennessee recruit. Jacob Phillips.

JaCoby Stevens was in the bag before you even knew who Austin Thomas was. Corey Raymond was the one who landed Stevens and he was a lock the minute Raymond signed his extension last December.

Again, Thomas will be missed, but he didn't help us land 4* OT Max Wray from Thomas' hometown of Franklin, TN last summer, did he? So, don't act like he's just non-stop pulling 5* recruits out of Tennessee.

Finally, the waiver that he had to recruit off campus was tied to Pete Jenkins being a "transient employee". Once Jenkins officially leaves and Orgeron hires a new coach to replace him, Thomas would no longer be able to go off campus to recruit anyway.

What is it about the lure of being able to go home and make good money at the same time that you simple-minded half wits can't understand?

This board is overrun with ignorant morons.

I think people are misguided in thinking his main value was in recruiting. Im pretty sure he was lauded for talent identification, organization of camps and recruiting events, management of the lower level recruiting staff etc. His recruiting ties were an added bonus to his main duties.

Prepare yourself for more staff changes after early signing day and the ensuing melt.

Haha, you have no idea about Stevens recruitment if you believe that. AT coming back from USC is the only reason why Stevens put LSU back in the picture. If it were not for AT, Stevens would not be at LSU.

"But this is no Tennessee guy.

“I consider myself a Louisianan,” Stevens said. “People ask me that all of the time — Louisiana or Tennessee? I was born in Tennessee, but I have Louisiana blood flowing through my veins. If you ask me, I’ll always claim Crowley, Louisiana.”

The Stevens family, as you might imagine, is from Louisiana. And, now, they’re all back together here in the state, reunited after Stevens’ parents and sister moved with him to Baton Rouge in December.

When he enrolled early at LSU, Jeremy and Dionne Stevens and their daughter, Janai’, moved here as well, returning to the place where it all began and where the rest of their family resides — an uncle in Baton Rouge, aunts and cousins in Bogalusa and grandparents in Crowley, Jeremy and Dionne’s hometown.

“It’s kind of been surreal,” Jeremy Stevens, JaCoby’s dad, said. “For the first couple of weeks, I’m like, ‘Man, we’re back in Louisiana.’ Seeing family and friends and the weather… I’m like, ‘Damn, we’re in Louisiana!’”"

"And, now, they’re all back together, right here in Louisiana, where it all began, where JaCoby fell in love with the Purple and Gold.

It happened while 4-year-old JaCoby visited the cage of Mike the Tiger. The family returned each summer to visit family. JaCoby always knew what that meant.

“He had to see Mike the Tiger," Jeremy said, "before we left Louisiana.""

---------------------------------------------------

JaCoby stated that Austin Thomas was definitely part of why he came to LSU. He also says Coach Eaux becoming the head coach and his relationship Corey Raymond and his being on staff and responsible for so many NFL players also played a big role.

Theme #1: Alleva sucks and is cheap and Austin will leave because we won't pay him.

(LSU offers to pay him)

Theme #2: Staff is leaving LSU for less money. Orgeron sucks.
