Lol. I've been following recruiting probably longer than you have been alive. I'm not knocking Austin, but you knee jerk over reacting idiots need to learn to take a step back and breathe. Good god.

Maybe, but could be lack of respect plus money.

Everyone wants to work where they feel appreciated.

It's not a knee jerk reaction. He's been a big part of recruiting and very highly regarded. I think you're overreacting to my response that was just facts.

Is Thomas the glue that holds this shite show together in terms of football ops? If Aranda leaves then it's time to start dousing everything with gasoline.

Didn't he leave once before and then come back? Am I mixing him up with someone else?

I'm normally one to point to any change as evidence that the whole Orgeron house of card is about to tumble, but I'm not fretting too much over this.

He had connections in Tennessee and does a good job organizing the board. But Tennessee doesn't produce a ton of talent and we can find a replacement with similar organizational skills and passion.

I'm not saying Thomas was a fungible asset, but how far above replacement level is he really?

It will take two or three people to do his job but he can be replaced.

I really don’t understand you wasting a perfect opportunity to have a melt. Why aren’t you melting? This is a meltworthy event. Our program is fricked. We will never recruit anybody worth a damn again. I’m not even sure we will have enough recruits to field a whole team next year. Maybe we can suit up as a JV team, and compete against the Mountain West or something. Honestly the only way this could be worse, is if Thomas went to Bama instead and kicked Mike the Tiger in the dick before he left. I’m not sure how I’m going to get through the day

Tennessee has 19 blue chip prospects in the 2019 class, more than Louisiana (9), Alabama (9) and Mississippi (11)

This whole “Tennessee doesn’t produce a lot of talent” is an outdated myth

Yeah, a one year anomaly definitely disproves all of history.

2018:

Tennessee 11
Louisiana 9

2017:

Tennessee 13
Louisiana 10

Tennessee has seen a population boom in the midstate the past 10 years, and the area is showing no signs of slowing down. It isn’t an anomaly, Tennessee is a major producer of HS talent currently and will be going forward.
