No shite, but that very same thing can be said about FSU and any other school to ever play in the game.
The rep the SEC has gained in this BCSC run helps every SEC school fighting to be a one loss BCSCG player and it might help LSU again in the future.
I understand not wanting Alabama to get there because of the plain SEC bias toward them, but I don't see that with Auburn and plus---we beat them!

Frick aub, and the SEC streak. LSU, the institution will get a portion of the SEC money for having a team in the NCG- it doesnt matter if aub wins or not. I have a huge disdain for all teams in the SEC, mostly the SEC West- and wouldnt want to see any of them win a m'fing thing.

couldn't care less about auburn and the sec thing. happy for Malzahn and his kids, but they had a lot of good fortune and I think all that will end when they face the nole defense. whatever happens...I really don't care. you asked.

Auburn doesn't have the defense to win is the consensus, but I see some parallels to when they played Oregon a few years ago. The difference is Florida St has a very good defense.

Jealous. With a win, auburn will have had two undefeated seasons and two championships in a ten year span..second best sec team in that span with bama being 1.

"best" requires consistency, they've had to fire their coach 2 times during that period and are still somewhat of an organizational mess...

No matter how much I try, I can't get the first half of their game in TS out of my head.
They looked like they were going to struggle to get bowl eligible they were so god awful. I think Florida State could get them a ND/Bama level beat down and I wouldn't be remotely surprised.

Auburn deserves to be there. They earned it on the field. Yes, they got some breaks along the way, but that's always part of the equation.
I've always rooted for the SEC team in the championship (yes, even Bama), simply because I wanted to keep the championship "in the family." If FSU won this year it wouldn't bother me, however. For one thing, I was always an FSU fan growing up in Pensacola, but more importantly, they are also a team from the Deep South, and that matters, especially since I live up here in Big 10 country now. I'm looking forward to a really good game. It should be lots of fun.
