Maybe the game against Auburn was a good teaching moment for some of our younger players. First three games easy got a little over confident. We will see against Florida.

Learned to win a hard fought game. It is very beneficial for this team.

It's good becuase it tempered my expectations. This team could not move the ball on the 105th ranked defense. Think about that. ULM scored 38 point on this Berlin Wall of a defense. LSU is in for a long fricking season. We'll see the same ole fricking play calling and no passing game what so ever.

oline looked mediocre and recievers were dropping balls all over the place. we have a lot of stuff to fix.

You do realize that it was LSU stopping LSU on most drives with penalties and fumbles and dropped passes right? Auburn didn't stop of very often.

I would rather the weaknesses get exposed now rather than later, so that we have time to work on them before we get deep into SEC play.

Now, whether they can be fixed in time is another question...

Bama barely escaped a bad Tenn team in 2009, 12-10 at home, on their way to a BCS championship. And this was a month later in the season. This game could pay dividends...

ok we don't have a perfect team. all teams are going to have legitimate areas of weakness. Injury has been big factor in this but we don't get to pick where or when injury does or does not occur. If we see it the coaches see it as well. i trust the staff to figure out how to fix it. that is why they get paid the big bucks to coach. wait and see there will be a resolution to this obvious fault.

Agreed. I remember last year after the Miss St. game people were freaking out that we were exposed after winning a close one.

We have areas of improvement for sure but also control our own destiny.

The first two drives of the night for us were awesome and we moved the ball at will. If not for that fumble on the goal line the game looked like it was headed to a blowout early. WE let AU get back in the game and did 90% of the damage to ourselves.

FIFY LSU doubled up yards....they Had 182 rushing, to AUBURN 183 total yards. COULD not move the ball......351 yrds is not moving the ball. Penalties and Incompletions stall drives. Dumbass

I agree. The offense really needs to pick it up and get creative. Play calling is still predictable and the receivers are still dropping passes. Mett is the slowest QB I have seen at LSU when he runs the ball in a long time. We have some heavyweights coming up soon on the schedule w Fla. away from home and USCe. Time to break out the new playbook. Good news is Mett can zip the ball downfield. Receivers just need to hang on to the football and we could become a great team by the end of the season. Geaux Tigers!

BTW: Auburn had some major incentive to play well and they should be given some props for their effort. They came to play.
