Wow, this is ridiculously accurate. It scares me to think about what level of offensive productivity (or lack thereof) is in front of us this season. If things remain the same, Miles will have absolutely no choice but to ax Crowton in December - it's beyond unacceptable at this point.
so miles isn't calling the plays after all.

Here's a post from that same blog just today. I echo this 100000000000%. Miles and Crowton have squandered a gold mine that Little Nicky just dropped in our laps!!!!

I’ve been watching the tigers for years and in the last few I’ve always thought it was Les Miles making them play conservative. Last year it was Lee throwing picks left and right, this year Jefferson holds the ball too long, either throw it, run, or throw it away, but he’ll hold the ball for 10 seconds till guys are crushing around him and then he tries to sramble. They aren’t making adjustments at all. The same plays over and over. I had assumed they were holding Jefferson back, saving Shepard for Florida. I really expected to see Shepard run the ball a few times early so he could launch one deep later and catch Florida flat footed, that didn’t happen. Someone needs to coach these young men. I think the debacle with Lee and now Jefferson can be blamed squarly on the quarterbacks coach AND Crowton. The defense looked good, gave up yards but saved scores, except for the one touchdown that happened because of offensive pass interference that wasn’t flagged. If they don’t do something in a hurry they are going 7-5 again. They have massive talent probably more than anyone else in the country(except maybe Florida and USC). Jarrett Lee was a 4 STAR recruit and he’s the backup… a 4 star recruit. He could start at two dozen other schools and would probably be better off for it! I think for LSU it all comes down to, you can’t play scared and thats exactly what the coahes are doing, playing not to lose rather than playing to win. Auburn is up next and I wanna see LSU play balls to the walls, otherwise I’m on the bandwagon that its time for some serious coaching changes.

i am bumping this shite again. Lsu is not fun to watch anymore. Yeah i am a tiger fan for life. But at some point when you look at the decisions being made with the massive amount of talent we have on offense, it's inexcusable.
damn i feel sorry for those players. Even JJ. He was thrown to the wolves. College football is HUGE buisness for baton rouge. We should not let one man take away our B and B.

I don't know or pretend to know the dynamics on the staff. On the surface it appears that Crowton and Miles are fat and happy.
ITs still fun to watch, I just don't have as high of expectations as I did a couple of years ago.

This is what I have been saying. Maybe if I wasnt lazy and showed the stats like this guy did more people would have believed me.

i swear I wanted to think it was Miles doing the play-calling!! I started a thread not to long ago about it. But after reading this, all i can say is......wow!!
Miles needs to step up and do something about this!

Damn skippy. Post of the year, and it was made 2 years ago. Wow.

someone finally got it right

When Crowton was hired a friend of mine and a huge Bears fan said that's a bad hire. I was skeptical. I remember reading this article back then. Again I was skeptical. After all we are LSU - we have way too much talent. After last night I cant believe how dead on this dude was in his 'prediction'.
Posted on 10/12/09 at 12:16 am to BayouTigers4Life
As someone posted earlier. LSU is past predictable and no fun to watch. In fact they are painful to watch and it's obvious that someone needs to go. fricking team lining up then looking at the sidelines like a bunch of skillits caught @ night in a bean field.

Nostradamus wasn't even that accurate
Posted on 10/12/09 at 12:26 am to windriver
WOW!!! Can we say a modern day Nostradamus??? Every thing in this article, 100% what exactly has happened, is happening, and is 100% going to happen in the future. If any other school picks up GC after we finally get rid of him are trully idiots. Mabye picking him up for one year is the only option I can see in hiring him.
Posted on 10/12/09 at 12:40 am to lake o tiger
I was told the same thing about him when he was hired. I didnt believe it at the time. Now, Im not sure. Crowton did great at Tech, but they didnt play anyone.

As an Oregon fan I can say the biggest problem that I had with Crowton was his inability to design plays to get to the playmakers on the team. He had a set group of plays he liked to call, and he would call them no matter what. He couldn’t seem to recognize a players strength, and adjust his play calling to match.

im befuddled..this is exactly whats going on..actually theres too many quotes and predictions to post..but nonetheless, the article is dead on.

saw a prominent tiger on D outside the stadium (will refrain from using names) with his parents and he looked awful. I honestly felt so sad when I saw his face. he knew the D played their arse off and couldn't get the W.

2 QB's in 2 Years who have looked completely lost out on field. Last year Lee did not improve from game to game and this year Jefferson has not really improved.
