Ok let’s talk about ideas. I live in a world of ideology. As it relates to the world of LSU football (while less significant in overall philosophy of life), ideally you don’t fire a guy for one who is worse on paper. Ideally you choose a proven replacement. Ideally you don’t try to reinvent the wheel. Ideally you have someone guaranteed better in hand before you let what you have go.

Don’t talk to me about ideas when you tout the worst coach in Ole Miss history as not only better than Les Miles, but the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ as HC of LSU football.

And that is why you’d better hope he wins 11+ this year. We didn’t fire Les for Les 2.0 or worse.

He gave Jimbo a big contract because Jimbo is a national title winner the alltime winning percentage leader in Florida State history and has developed more NFL QBs than any coach over the last 20 years. He also happened to be by far the most sought after hire on the market at the time and is considered by everyone paid to have knowledge of it, a top 3-5 head coach in college football. Anything else little puppet? Anymore education you need me to drop on you?

Les needed to go, but not just for the sake of firing him. A better replacement should have been locked in first.

Jimbo had gone 14-10 in the ACC in his last three seasons at Florida State. That was a Florida State that at the VERY LEAST had the second most talented roster in the conference and one of the most talented teams in the country. 14-10 facing juggernauts like Duke, Boston College, Wake Forest, Virginia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Syracuse, Pittsburgh. Went 3-5 his last year in that murderer's row of phenomenal teams and wasn't even bowl eligible. WITH FLORIDA STATE TALENT.
