SEC adding Texas and Oklahoma….just no reason to do it. Schedule the cupcake and get that game 1 out the way. frick that extra revenue. Not a new topic but it needs to end!!!

I agree. Play your four scrubs and try to get by in conference play. This is what LSU is reduced to now.

It's about brand exposure.
If we would have won, the exposure and the publicity is priceless.
The fact is, this team wasn't ready to play and we have a lot of selfish players who feel that they either have to show off or get some revenge that cost us big time in penalties.

Stop being such a pussy. If you’re a legitimate team, you win these games anyway. And even, if you happen to lose, and you’re a legitimate team, you’ll still make the playoffs - Alabama last year, OSU 2014, etc.
They are losing these games because they aren’t good enough for a variety of reasons. Want to win these games and games that matter? Be better.

You realize 2019 likely loses to Texas without the tune up game against North Texas to open the season, right?

I'd argue that LSU going out and embarrassing themselves three years in a row on Sunday night as the only game being played has done more damage to the brand than winning any of them could have helped.

I like the big game but damn, not the first game of the season. Schedule a cupcake, run the scrimmage, and fix what is needed before the next week when you play that big OOC game.

You guys understand these games were schedule years in advance? Unless both sides agree we are contractually obligated. You guys think Verge thought we would lose 5 fckn years in a row & have the worst personnel we’ve ever had on defense??? We’ve played in big games for years now to open the season. Were y’all complaining about it when we whipped a damn good Oregon team?? Or when we dog walked Miami?? No!

No it’s not, especially if you win. Losing the game is the problem.

Ah yes...the playoff will fix college football they said.

It’s awful for recruiting

We lost by 7 points. Embarrassed may be a bit of a reach

I’m sick of hearing crap like this . Y’all sound like. a bunch of pussies.

I'd rather sit through a contest like last night than be bored to death running up the score on a gimme scrimmage game. I can take a hard faught loss like last night.
I do wish it was home and home and I do not like neutral site games while season ticket holders suffer shite like our nonconference games

That was Georgia Southern, no?

Yeah, well, with more roster turnover thanks to the portal, we need that scrimmage game first. Plus it seems we have new coordinators all the time over the last five years so need that scrimmage game to work out the kinks in the schemes.

What is more foolish still is the coach not having the team ready to play.
Posted on 9/2/24 at 6:32 pm to tigerbait3488
We won the battle for most billboards. That’s all that matters anymore.

Yea that's right, point still stands though. We needed that 50+ point tune up to be ready to go.
