He actually looked in control and stable in that game.

Lee looked wide-eyed and lost.

I remember the game well. I was pulling for Lee to lead us to victory, but he looked like a scared little kid.

Are you serious?

I post what is usually perceived as one of the best ways to measure QB performance and you think I'm being a toolbag?

This is how both QBs, for the most part, have looked throughout their respective careers.

But for one night against Vandy their roles were reversed, and therefore it is perceived by many that the safe and easy conclusion should be for Lee to start the remainder of the season

Brilliant, simply brilliant

I think the job should be Lee's to lose right now.

JJ played an embarrassing game on Saturday. Many of the "dropped" passes were very poor throws. Herm Edwards made it worse by saying passes that were behind the WR "should have been caught".

Herm Edwards need to be benched for his performance as well.

Welcome back Toothpick, and I'm on the "start Lee" train as well.

JJ is beyond clueless unfortunately.

JLee's last start was a disaster, and his psyche when taking meaningful snaps is something I want to be VERY aware of.

For me, I gradually ease him into the starting role by getting him a series or two in the 1st half. If Jefferson is still struggling mightily during his playing time, I either start Lee in the 2nd half and let him go the rest of the way or give him more series to work with.

Miles has proven once he is set on a QB, he is set. Lee wont get eased in.

Yes to all this.

MSU would be a great game to slide him in. Let him start and play the whole thing Their defense is pretty awful.

ETA: and you WANT Lee to throw a pick. He needs to see that it isn't the end of the world.

I didn't think we'd play as many true freshman as we are this early in the season either.

If I had to guess, I'd say you're right. But I wouldn't be shocked if Lee starts the 2nd half if Jefferson continues to struggle.

I was mostly saying what I would do if the decision were up to me.

I see what you're saying, but I don't really remember him turning all ultra-conservative timid mode kind of like what JJ does.

I remember in 08, Lee returning to the field and still slinging it like the int never happened. Which can be both a good & bad thing I guess. (Auburn game vs Alabama game)
