Please go back and watch the 2012 Chick-fil-a Bowl between LSU and Clemson. We were running a HUNH offense that wasn't used much in The SEC at the time.
LSU had a frustrating for us strategy for slowing down our rapid play operation, and it is used by many others to slow the time of play. Watch the last possession. The issue is people may be hurt - who knows. Starts at about 2:26 in.
BTW - Jennings just broke Nuk Hopkins's record in The Peach Bowl. Tip of the hat!

They’ll get gashed by the inside run in that scheme and Joe will see it easily

Best thread regarding actual football I have ever seen on tigerdroppings !!
Another thing that no one is thinking of. You can bet your arse that every type of defense imaginable has been run to try and stop Drew Brees and Joe Brady has sit in those meetings with Sean Payton and Drew game planning how to beat those exotic defenses. Brady has been exposed to game planning for situations like this by watching two of the best that ever lived. I’m sure he also has contacts that he his speaking with that also have ideas. I think this will serve us greatly.
Also, our offense goes against our defensive backs every day. They know how to compete against award winning talented opponents because that’s what they have been doing since spring.
I know our offense will score at least in the 30’s. I am more concerned about our defense doing what they need to do.
We have something special that I feel will make all the difference in the world. Clyde. If Clyde plays like he did against Bama, we can’t lose. His heart is greater than anything they can throw at us.
The only fear I have is turnovers. Joe is so confident his receivers out talent everyone, he throws a lot of 50-50 balls up and we have been blessed that our guys almost always come through and go get the ball. That is our strength and our weakness. Those balls can be picked off and I hope Joe plays more deliberate and cautious like he played against Bama because a Bama type performance is what it will take to win.

im sure Burrow will have an answer.
That’s the difference between a talented but less experienced QB like fields and an experienced, knowledgeable QB like Burrow.

Likely it will be the most a DC has thrown at him in his time at LSU.
This is a tired and laughable bunch of BS. We have faced Saban, Steele, Smart and Grantham - some of the absolute best defensive schemers/minds in football.
I'ts amazing how some people are trying to build this up to LSU facing up to something that's never been known to walk the earth before. We've faced the absolute BEST in college football this year and been victorious. Will Clemson be a big test? Heck yeah but I REALLY like our team and our chances.
Gilbert was a freshman at LSU this past season.
