Armand Williams wasn't a huge recruit, but what's going on?

He has height (6'3") and I dont know about speed. Is he just a career backup or is he just slowly progressing or is this another physical talent that Les cant produce.

Are you trying to imply that Les Miles wasted his talent? He was a late offer and his offer list was mostly mediocre to lower tier schools. The two schools that stood out on that list were Arkansas and Miss State. I can't imagine many of us having big expectations for him.

But he is tall.

No im not saying it's miles' fault, but then again Miles cant develop offensive players. Do you think this guy would be on the field under some other coach and my main question really is if he is our tallest reciever why did he not see the field?

Lafell, Byrd, Ware(kind of), Hilliard, Tolliver, Scott, Williams, every offensive lineman in the past 4 years besides maybe 2, Beckham, Peterson, and every QB got worse or have gotten worse so far in their careers under Miles.

Yes, schools on his offer list such as Houston, McNeese, etc that don't have players such as Landry and OBJ could certainly use a player like him. Being tall does not necessarily mean he deserves to play. There is more to receiving than just being tall or running fast.

Flynn seemed to decline as the season went on, Jefferson declined every year, Lee was always up and down so, Mett got way better then all of a sudden the last two games has looked like he is declining again and I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get worse next year.

Barksdale and maybe 2 other lineman didn't get worse.

Our running backs come in as young players and look totally dominant and then by their junior or senior year someone else is taking their places and there is no way that we just coincidentally bring in even better running backs every year.

I know, but I guess im just so frustrated with this bull we been going through. Remember earlier this season "no tight end could pass catch" then all of a sudden Jacobs is running routes and catching everything. Sometimes a player may just need to get in the game. If Williams got in he could atleast be a decoy

Their stats dropped because of the switch in QB from Matt Flynn to Jarrett Lee and then to Jefferson. Bad QB's hindered their stats. Look at Larry Fitzgerald's stats with John Skelton as his QB. He didn't just forget how to be a good WR. His QB sucks therefore his stats suck. Bad QB play affects the stats of every player on offense.

Also, Scott broke his clavicle during his senior year and Williams broke his ankle. Ciron Black had a deteriorated knee. Ware got passed up by Jeremy Hill who is a monster and OBJ's only problem is focus. OBJ's got skills but he's trying too hard to make things happen.

Jacobs can't get into the game because he is academically ineligible and the chances of him coming back don't look good. Why would Williams be a decoy if he hasn't proven anything? He's not going to get double-teamed just because he's tall.

You're right about most of those things but explain Hilliard taking over everyone's spot and he never gets carries now. Explain all of our offensive line starters at the beginning of 2011 getting worse besides Faulk. Explain Peterson getting worse and dropping everything. Tolliver looked great at times then got worse until his very last game. Our offense has had a lot of bad things happen such as your explanation but it still doesnt explain it all.

I know that about Jacobs I was saying give Williams a chance in the game and see if he emerges like Jacobs did. I'm sure Jacobs looked bad in practice which explains him never seeing the field then all of a sudden when he gets a chance he's all over the field until he get suspended

he was the 2nd string TE, he was on the field a lot.

Williams was at best the 6th WR. you think maybe he's just not good?
