And agents and parents will steer their kids away from LSU pulling stunts like this.

That’s going to cause him to lose games.

Some people aspire for more than to peak in college.

Those people want to go somewhere that will showcase their abilities while protecting their future.

Yeah, he really ruined the pro prospects of that pitcher he found from Air Force, the 6'10 pitcher from Pitt Community College, and the little lefty who had pitched about 20 career innings at UCLA.

I'm sure it was the missed squeeze signal.

Well regarding either issue it is bad management so

Not a good look trying to call out Lester’s correct takes.

He has plenty of bad ones but he’s mostly right on baseball scenarios

Bad management that Stanfield missed the sign? Perhaps if we score that insurance run from 3rd Jay could have had Anderson in the dugout eating an ice cream cone with sprinkles in the 9th inning.

Never mind Adam's shite post. He's just saying all that in hopes that LE allows him to perform fellatio on him

Bunting outside of the home team in the 9th inning in a tie game is always the wrong call. And even then it may be the wrong call.

Lester is a contrarian idiot. It just so happens that jay is wrong and the rant follows along unquestioned. So when he take the opposite stance on this one he is right.

I'm good with the squeeze in that situation but we had better get on the same page with the damn signs

Nothing quite like fans on TD acting like they know more about baseball than Jay Johnson

Its puzzling to me Jay woukd do that this early in the season with 2 ace relievers ready.

Maybe JJ wanted to see how well he held up. That'll be a useful thing to know later on. I certainly wouldn't expect it to be a regular thing, though.

The boy was locked in and wanted the ball. Minimal pitchea after the 4th. He threw 67 pitches thru 4 innings.

ETA. Only 45 pitches the last 3 innings. Almost minimal batters. Dude was dealing in that Hank ballpark with the wind blowing in. Huge outfield.

But it was a gamble, and Jay is going to have to answer some hard questions about it. He obviously doesn’t care. Maybe he has great answers.

Jay doesn’t have to worry about anything! His #1 objective is to win the CWS! I’ve watched PLENTY of college pitchers throw 100+ pitches. That’s the nature of college.
