And they took advantage of Dickinson & Bear’s mistakes too!

I agree. I never agree with the idea that a team doesn't deserve to win either. The team that did what it took to win absolutely earned the win.

If Jones scoops the potential double play at first then LSU likely wins anyways.

No it was a comedy of errors and misadventures that sunk Arkansas. The double play that wasn't will live in Arkansas infamy forever, just like the popup that landed between 3 players

There is no denying that Arkansas blew it in the 9th. But I do think that people have a little revisionist history when they say that's the only reason LSU won. To the OP's point, Arkansas was only in a position to win because of numerous LSU mistakes. It kind of evened out, but people only want to talk about the end, because that's what sticks out in the mind.

And if Dickinson doesn't wait back on the ball, and then hesitate to throw, we'd have had the double play earlier than that. And If Brown doesn't slip on the double steal, we were about to easily steal home.

So yeah. I wish more people would look at the totality of events, instead of just the 9th. But, whatever. We won, no matter who thinks we deserved it.

No the Arkansas errors in the 9th were part of a 9 inning game. It is a mistake to say they gave us the game when in reality it was a small part of a game that LSU also made mistakes of a similar nature. It was neither teams best game. And Arkansas would have had to find another pitcher and played against the odds had they won to get to the championship series. The best team won and didn’t need a second game. As is LSU has won 4 out 5 games against Arkansas this year. It has taken Arkansas best shot, best pitching to play for the National Championship.

Did you read the rest of my post? You're saying "no", but then you made my point. That was precisely my point.

No - they pretty much handed it to us. They had this before the left field botch or the missed DP.

Both can be true....and IMHO in this case they are.
