We don't recall the glorious OOC wins of recent time... I mean who was in awe of the 1 point win against Arizona State which is basically your marque OOC win in the past 4 years.

And I don't know why a team that has not lost a regular season OOC game in over a decade while playing a heck of a lot of teams more talented than this would be confident.

So doze4 - I watched every single Wisconsin televised game last year (Melvin Gordon was on my fantasy team) - how many did you watch? What about those 13 games gives you such worry?

7-6 at halftime with Gordon getting 62 yards all game is kicking the shite out of them?

Yes our backup had 62 yards. Did you happen to notice how our starter did? 19 132 6.9 2 TDs for New England Patriot James White. They were extra keyed on Gordon because he was an Iowa commit for a good chunk of his senior year before reneging and staying home at UW.

The game is two halves for a reason and yes beating one of our biggest rivals at their place by 3 TDs was kicking their butts. UW-Iowa games usually finish something like 17-10, 31-30, 21-17. For either team to win by three TD's is rare. The all time series is 43-42-2 UW.

Yes, he was only 80 yards or so shy of what our starter did.

Gotcha - same for BYU? or Minny? or OSU?

Last 5 regular season games, he dropped off (1 100 yard game) after tearing up the start of the season (6 of 7 100 yarders).

But yes... I agree that Iowa tried to stop him.

The fact they are your rivals tells us plenty too.

Yes the riveting hearland trophy - Lets see how your scores stack up to reality. IN the 8 games since we have had victory differentials including: 23, 10, 22, 10, and now 19.

So yeah the majority are double digit victories.... and if I go back to '95 the trend would continue.

So yeah, not sure why anyone is tryin to extrapolate a 'rivalry' game anyways (it may shock you but trying to get up for a mediocre bowl against a grossly inferior conference is not exactly an easy task). Running at will against them - sure....

Does that sound similar to you? Sounds like LSU is a huge favorite to totally shut down anything in Wiscy's passing game while they only needs average QB play to produce against the Badgers.

Call the guys in Vegas & tell them. Surely they have no idea you feel that way.
We're you saying the same thing before we played Ole Miss last year (be honest) ?

LSU has a lot of unknowns right now. talented freshmen ? no doubt, but still unknowns. If you don't think we will experience some growing pains at qb at some point and elsewhere you are disingenuous.

35% of ranters think this will be an LSU blowout
65% of ranters think it will be close for a half or 3 quarter and LSU will pull away around 7-10pts

Badger fans are mostly predicting a loss - 85%
A couple UW folks think we can win a tough one 15%

Don't give me this cocky stuff. 85% of our fans agree with 65% of your fans. There are always outliers- especially on the frick'n rant of all places.

Wisconsin is coming off a 293 rushing performance vs SC. LSU's D line wasn't picked in the top half of the SEC yesterday on your network.Wisconsin will be confident running the ball. If that happens - no matter what else- this will be a good game.

You do know lines are set to get equal wagering on both sides and not as a expert judgment by 'anyone in Vegas' as to what they expect will happen, right? Right?

For example, I consider our 2007 BCS championship win over Ohio State to be more indicative of our betterment over them then the fact Vegas has the point spread at 2.5. But that's just me

Yes I always equate rivalry games with OOC games, because they follow the same logic and pattern. Almost as relevant as let down mediocre bowls. I will ignore a 50 game OOC regular season streak, including teams a heck of a lot more talented than Wisky and focus on anecdotal rivalry games.

We always do.

2011 was all growing pains all year at the QB position. Why are acting like we need the QB to tear it up to beat Wisky?

We can very well have the QB be pedestrian (ala Oregon a few years ago) and walk away with the victory.

I swear you guys have not watched Wisky play (I understand Wisky fans will have their bias).

Let me be the first to congratulate them on their judgment.

If you guys all agree it is likely a double digit win.... then how should that defer my confidence?

Double digit loss.

Bottom half of the SEC DL >>>>>>> Big 10 DL's in general.

Well they are going to have to try. Absolutely no QB and you lost the best route running receiver in the nation. Gordon is a beast but clearly faded towards the end of the year (and yes he had a good bowl game)

If that happens - no matter what else- this will be a good game.

I never said it wasn't going to be a 'good game'. I simply believe we are going to win comfortably at the end of the day. Sounds like most Badgers agree except those debating me.

1st thru midway into 3rd quarter my guess is we will look very much alike. Miles will be gun shy and we will see a lot of dust with some break out runs.

Mid 3rd thru the end, LSU will pull off the bridles and play more like a total different team. At this point we will take a commanding lead.

Some point of contention

Losing your entire front 7 is a lot worse than losing 2 underachieving DTs and an OLB.

We will throw the ball. We have too much talent at WR not to. Also our QBs are good enough to put some pressure on. This isn't the bowl game. They have been training for this all summer and last spring. They know what is expected of them

Say what? There ain't no way your qb is going to replicate Shaw.

No worries. Lsu is on a nice run right now. But, some of us remember Stovall, Archer, and Dinardo.

I understand expecting to win. Those that can't see any chance of losing are high. We know who we are. We know are place in the firmament. I know that I'd much rather play you early in the season than late.

Same types that went home mumbling after we beat you by 13 in the tourney.

Same types that woofed about our plodding defense then went home crying after Felix Jones and DMC put up 14 points in the loss.

Or when we put 500 yards on #7 Auburn and crushed them.

Apollo Creed had more talent. Rocky won.

Wont need to. Just pointing out Shaw and PSU before that shredded the secondary.... they are not in the same league.

I agree with the result, but think it happens because of depth/better talent, and not because we use a different series of plays, or take the reigns off.

If you think about it, and assuming the supplied statistics are valid, a loss to Wisconsin would be grounds for dismissal.

I respect the Wisconsin team a lot and I enjoy watching your running backs as they are always legit.

But, what about the running backs we've faced/are facing here in the SEC who are even better than Gordon/Clement????

I mean, do we not face Todd Gurley of Georgia & T.J. Yeldon of Alabama??? And have we not faced running backs and running back tandems even better???

We see GREAT backs year in and year out here in the SEC, so it's pointless to go on and on about how "great" your running backs are. We can see and certainly respect Gordon & Clement, but they're not the first running back duo to pose a challenge to the LSU defense!!!!!

The game will play out on the field, but please stop with the whole "We have Gods for running backs" talk!!!!!
