Same here.

I am happy after a win, but will say that the high expectations make watching games a grueling afair.

Central won, LSU won, the saints beat the falcons and Alabama lost. I am happy!

The one drawback of a national title is the agony over losses and the relief over victories. At 39, I once prayed to "the football gods" to give me an LSU natty before I died. We got one in 2003. I remember thinking the day after, "now what"?

I read a quote by Darrel Royal (rip) where he said the reason he retired was because losses became devastating and wins were a relief and not joyful anymore.

exactly, especially right now with this fan base and how they hate their most succesful coach ever.

i feel like every win is a stay of execution. a chance just to not hear all the bitching. of course, for good measure, they bitch about wins too.

i think there are a lot of people like us OP. and i think it's kind of sad.

in fact for those that really hate miles, i don't see how they enjoy wins either, i've heard them say that when miles win, it just means he'll be here longer.

I am always happy after a win whether its Towson or Alabama. We are privileged enough to get to see LSU play 12 plus games a year 6-8 of those being at home in my favorite place in the world. A win is icing on the cake and I am happy every time we do it

Your post is so true. It must suck to hate someone that bad.

true, but it also sucks to try to reason with those people which apparently i can't control myself from not doing.

You are truly wasting your time. As you know there are people on here that claim they hated LSU winning the NC in 07 because it meant we had to keep CLM. Now That is true hate!
