The general feeling on the Rant is that he's underachieving, but he earned Outland Trophy national player of the week honors. this week.

He's just held at a higher regard... He will still be a top-15 draft pick

Did he have another false start penalty this week? If not that is a sign of improvement.

When he didn’t retaliate after JD got rocked last year I lost respect for him

When we lost to USC after he said we’re looking for a fist fight he was “meh”

Honestly he’s a great player but he’s just a big teddy bear personality wise.

I love the dude, love his attitude, and GLAD he is a Tiger.

But, he has made some mistakes with offside penalties that have killed some drives as well. He needs to clean those up and I'm sure he knows it and is working on it.

I'd love to see a game where we have no OL penalties and be more dominant against the run.

When you talk shite and are slow to the hole, commit penalties (CAPTAIN WILL to you) in every game and talk shite you don't back up, a little humility, clean game, hustle and pancaking an opponent will go a long way.

I bought into the hype before the season started, plus I’m generally a sunshine pumper for big ugly maulers from north Louisiana.

Under no circumstances am I qualified to critique his oline grade, but it seems he has had some issues this year. Not to mention I’m pretty sure he had a terrible penalty at the end of the Ole Miss game last year.

He's had a couple of dumb false starts but he's been a top 3 tackle in the country this year.

If you’re speaking of the general consensus on the rant,…..then probably yes, wrong.

A very low number of people post here that can analyze good/bad o-line play.
“Muh false start - he sucks!”

He & Jones are both first round draft picks

2 things can be true:

Will is overrated

AND

He is still one of the best linemen in the country

Well he did receive the highest Grade of any OL in the country. No sacks and No pressures on a 91 pass blocking & 82 run blocking. The expectations of him have been set so high that even a penalty or mistake of any kind damage the image. He will still be a first round pick at OT, and go down as one of the best OL in LSU history. I don’t know of any OL ranked as high as him in any draft for the Tigers.

I’ve knocked him down to a second day pick in my mock draft due to his play vs usc

Well that's just dumb. 1st round pick. Top 15 is very likely.

I think he is being held up as the reason the ground game has struggled, because of his fistfight comments and his false start.

Whether that's right or wrong, that's my theory on it.

No he’s not the reason we have trouble running the ball, that is largely due to Center.

But, Campbell has had a disappointing amounted false starts early this season and at least a couple have really killed what looked to be promising drives.
