One of the best tight end in the country and we hardly throw him a pass.

There are only 'n' pass plays and most of those go to RR or OBJ. The rest are distributed amongst the rest depending on the game/situation.

He has to work harder to get open, he has either lost a half step or lost the desire.

Route running is the key for him...be open and you will get the ball, run an average route and you wont.

He hasn't really caught the ball well this year. A lot of times he's made routine catches harder than they should be. He's good, he just needs to be more sure-handed when catching the ball

My opinions are colored by the 2010 reverse against Bama when he stepped out and didn't get the TD.

It seems like he doesn't have that extra effort at the end of the runs.

I am willing to be convinced quite easily by folks with more in depth knowledge of that play but I was disappointed , more so because it would have been a more cruel cut to Bama to have the TD with that call

Wish we would let Tyler Edwards run some routes. The guy has great hands and will fight for the ball.

I think it's a stretch to call him him "one of the best" tight ends in the country.

Look at the overall stats, we are 8-0, we have play makers that make the plays when we need them, Chase Clement hadn't caught a ball in a few games, and he came up big this week. Peterson will have his chance when we need him. The thing that amazes me about this team is that they play with a team philosophy, you never know who is going to step up next and make a big play.

In Tennessee game one of his hands was heavily bandaged......same with Auburn.

Maybe this is part of it.

If he was one of the best in the country I think he would have shown it already. You don't have a top TE and choose to save him for game 9.

He is a good weapon, but think about this: is he THAT much better than the other weapons we have on Offense?? And.... Chase has not dropped any since the Oregon game... My point being, with so many weapons to be used, and only so many Off. plays.. being that we are a run first, pound the rock kind of team..... the same case can be made for other players as well. It is a good problem to have.

He is third in receptions behind Randle and Beckham. What do you want? If he had more than Randle and Beckham you would be bitching about our "best WRs in the country" not getting enough passes. Don't know if you checked lately, but they still play the game with one football.
