Bitch bitch bitch. That is all some people do. When one of these BCS teams beats our arse one day, people will bitch about that and wonder why we scheduled such a tough team when our conference schedule is already hard enough.

I pointed out the logistics for them in my previous post. Let's see how many people are capable of rationalization.

Verge will likely do jack squat for 2 years and then in 2010 we'll here how we are now trying to scramble a few months before the 2010 and 2011 seasons to find a quality team, only to be told "no one wants to play us."

LSU knew there would be an opening in the 2008 season schedule all the way back in 2005 when the Ariz. St. series was cancelled/postponed. So what did LSU do during 2005-2007 to fill the void left by Ariz. St? Nothing. It wasn't until February of this year that we hear how Verge is scrambling to find a team, then.....surprise, we get stuck with a 1-AA team. Expect more of the same.

2011 would be the time it would happen if it's going to. SC only has Syracuse and ND scheduled so far and I'm sure Carroll and Mike Garrett want to strengthen that up.

Im not really bitching but how bout a Wake or a hell even Baylor instead of a diet of CUSA crap? Im not saying play a top 5 team every year occ, we get those in conference normally but at least a weakling from a BCS conf. (an wake isn't really a weakling)

It probably won't happen. Our open dates, y'all already have opponents scheduled.

I truly dont mind playing creampuffs. I happen to enjoy 11 and 12 win seasons and the BCS titles and excellent bowl matchups that come as a result. I get my fill of nail biters with the SEC slate. Early in the year, I want the team to jell. Later in the year, between SEC games, I want the team to stay injury free and be able to play some backups.

OOC games are nice when we dominate 48-7, but I didnt really enjoy the 26-8 in 2002.

But, you want to know what the funny thing is? People are too ignorant to look at the schedules and compare them. They think we can just magically throw a Saturday in there.

Yes I clicked both links. Some of those games do not show up on lsusports.net btw. I am talking specifically about 10 & 11. NCst in 17 & 20 are too many years away for me to consider in this

We also have a home and home with Oklahoma next decade..but I really want to get someone scheduled for 2010 and 2011. Really stupid if we have to play 4 patises again.

Isn't 2010-2019 next decade?

I haven't seen Okie on any future LSU schedule. I remember the talk about it but haven't seen it on any future schedule

So for next decade we've figured out we're playing..

2010: No one
2011: No one
2012: Washington
2013: No one
2014: No one
2015: Arizona State
2016: @ Arizona State
2017: NC State
2018: @ Oklahoma
2019: Oklahoma

(Then @ NC State in 2020)

Need to get on this...
