Because millions of dollars in revenue and now NIL value are tied to a roster, schools have a massive financial incentive to keep players eligible by any means necessary.

Yes, but not because they are athletes. Standards have gone down since the government decided to guarantee schools money so they have an incentive to keep as many people in school as possible.

I think Emery's was a slip-up in scheduling, possibly due to the people who were supposed to be keeping tabs on eligibility.
Wright had actual grade issues.
