I want to bring my 3 and 5 year Olds down to red stick for a couple days in august and let them experience some LSU football without all of the drunks and scumbags throwing beers on people and cussing.

Not even the warmups and drills? Dang. Didn't know they ran that type of ship. The Texans let you watch their entire practices and they are a pro team.

College teams for whatever reason are secretive. College football is unlike any other

Why is LSU secretive? Everyone knows the same 4 plays we run every year. What gives?

Why are you sheltering your kids from the real world?

Go ahead and show up in the 100 degree heat and knock on the wooden fence that encloses the practice field and wait until someone opens the gate and have at it. If they don't show up within 30 minutes you can peak through the fence. Be sure to tell Guilbeau HI on his way out.

The nature of the beast. Pro teams have rules about scouting and they really use the preseason as a marketing deal. There are lot of pretty competent guys running around who won't make the 53 man team but they don't do anything special in those camps. College teams have different rules and the NCAA is very interested in who watches summer practices, so basically no one but the players can watch and take part. Sorry. The rules are about a different type of secrecy once camp starts in August and are not the same as over the summer where the coaches can't watch the 7 on 7. Secrecy is the LSU rule, since they seemed to have got burned years ago with people reporting on injuries and such. Some schools are not so paranoid but there it is. You had a good idea, but it won't fly in Baton Rouge.

Thanks for the context. I understand but still don't like it.
