I'll make an assumption you're married and your spouse attends games, so that means you need 2. What about the other 2...who goes on them?? Friends...other family members? You tell them you're dropping 2 because of cost and they'll probably offer to pay for them. If not...they are just mooching off of you.
My wife and two sons (9 & 13). Yea, $4,000 is a lot, but I guess the issue is more that I'm "overpaying" for my tickets. I can easily buy 4 individual tickets for all the games and still save a lot of money. I'll probably renew the tickets so that they'll still be in my name and try to sell them. I don't want to lose the opportunity for away games or bowl games. My ranking is pretty high.

That's $500 per game. I'm seriously thinking whether or not it's worth it.
I haven't missed a game in Tiger Stadium in over 4 years and I have only paid above face value twice. Tickets are generally easy to buy as long as you don't buy them from pro's. Stick with someone trying to sell them for a friend and you will be good.

Last year I built and outdoor kitchen/bar area with a 60" flat screen.Throw in the zero gravity chairs, fire pit, good friends and the lack of idiots and this 51 year old has found nirvana

We have 4 in the SEZ .. used to be my husband and myself with our 2 boys would attend the games; daughter who didn't care for football anyway stayed at home with a sitter or grandparent.
NOW oldest is a student at LSU ... ticket #4 is for our daughter is she wants to come OR if not, son #2 brings a friend (lucky friend came to Bama and Florida this year).
I will NOT let our tickets go ... we'll either keep them until we don't want to go and let our kids go or just sell the tickets for a season but I'm not letting them go.
FWIW, our tradition fee is the lowest which is why the possible expansion of the SEZ worries me ... not sure if this would cause us to lose our seats or not. I "can't" afford (ie really don't want to pay more) the higher priced sections and REALLY don't want upper deck.
One last thing ... we don't go to Disney every year or skiing every year like many of our friends do. What we "DO" is football! LSU Football!!!
