Are playoff ratings better or worse if the SEC is left out?

Something tells me they will be better. Methinks the Southeast is going to watch the CFP regardless of who is in it.

I’m watching. It’s good football no matter who they chose.

Bama got unlucky with there being 3 undefeateds.

It is what it is

doesn't make much of a difference IMO.

But if the CFP committee bases it off who they think will get the best ratings then they've lost all credibility in my mind.

Money rules all in college football. It’s been that way for a while.

I think CFP keeps SRC out to guarantee one more without SEC champ before it expands to 12 and we more likely always in

The rest of the country would say better.

Sankey says it would be more like Sesame Street.

The committee is charged with maximizing TV revenue. That's it.

For the future of college football it’s, by far, better if no SEC team gets in.

We need college football to be a national sport and not a regional one if you want it to be the best version it can be.

The whole country gets turned off when. It’s Bama vs Clemson almost every year. Getting teams from all parts of the country is a very positive thing.

The SEC will be just fine in the future if Bama gets left out this year.

If they go with MICH/WASH/FSU/UT, I think Texas is my pick to win it all
they are a well rounded team

Why is a committee allowed to neutralize the outcomes of the games?

Worse, but you simply take the best four teams, period. SEC usually does have top four team but conference shouldn’t matter. You take the four best teams. If teams happen to be in same conference why would you penalize any for that? It is, what it is. So a 13-0 Florida State had a great season but they are not better than any of the top four or Georgia.
