Honestly, anyone who would suggest they would take the coach O resume over that of Jimbo has to have their college football thought process questioned. imo

Now, if you want to like him over Jimbo because you like the way he walks, talks, chews bubblegum or anything else non-football related, each to our own.

So, it's your opinion we should hire Jimbo and fire Orgeron or is this just another shot at the current coaching staff?

You CheeriOs are the dumbest fricking people on the face of the Earth and it is hilarious imagining how long it takes you to one finger type out your nonsense on your desktop PCs at the public library

Knocking Jimbo Fisher any time his name is mentioned while treating Ed Orgeron as some kind of program building savior

The good new is this December when jimbo has won 7 games and O has won 11 we won't have to listen to your nonsense anymore.

Yeah because this season will be the ultimate referendum on O vs Jimbo as head coaches!

Glad to see Tweedle Ben is still side by side with Tweedle Shrub for another day of the good fight!

Pretty insane an "LSU Fan" is bitching because two posters on a message board are optimistic about the upcoming season.

He's just saying that some coaches are better than others. How is that taking a shot at someone?

You feel like simply stating facts is taking shots at someone. That's why we have this snowflake society that we live in, because people can't take the truth. We have to be nice to everyone.

Jimbo's accomplished a lot. The coach here hasn't accomplished what he has, and if he doesn't get it done this year, probably never will.

There's no shame in that, it is what it is. Every coach isn't destined to achieve great things. The coach here is still wildly successful in life, and that's something of which he can be proud.

“ another shot at the current coaching staff”

I picked LSU football to go 10-2 last year. So don’t act as if all I do is piss on the team or the staff.

I questioned the hire of Coach O. I questioned his hire of coach E as OC. I have been disappointed our offense, which has struggled since 2014, is still struggling under his direction. I think we might go 11-2 this yr with some good bounces of the ball.

I am in wait and see mode for coach E to prove his ability. I am in wait and see mode for coach O to prove he can win the west. Hopefully, both will prove themselves this season and then we can move on from the constant bickering.

This BS bout wanting coach O/LSU to fail is just that, BS in 99% of the cases.

That's what he does.

If he sees you say something that can be interpreted as slightly unfavorable to the coaching staff, he shoots at you.

If you think shite canning a coach who is coming off a 10 win season, has made moves to have a great 2019 season, and is bringing in the a stellar recruiting class is the right move then you are brain dead.

I never wanted Coach O to be hired. I wanted Jimbo badly. If we could redo I would take Jimbo. However we are beyond time for a redo.

The damage that would happen if we forced Coach O out before 2019 could play out would be insane.

Just let things play out. If O bombs, we have the right man to fix it. Things are looking up for our football team though.

Nah, there's a couple of people in this thread who definitely fit the bill.

I don't think you're a hater, just really bitter over losing miles.

Not a single person is advocating for this. It would be an insane move, no question.

The thought is simply being discussed that if O is unable to lead this team to its full potential, as he has done for three seasons in a row now, that there will be some exciting possibilites for our next move with Woodward now in charge of our athletic department.

This season should be outstanding. No question. Everyone is excited about seeing Burrow take on a very manageable schedule in his final run as a Tiger with Aranda’s fourth defense and veteran leaders all over the field.

Hopefully the staff has taken this offseason to fully prepare this team for a real run at the CFP, which means 11-1.

If not, it is also exciting feeling that we no longer have an AD that will try to excuse the shortcomings of the staff simply because he hired the HC and firing would reflect poorly on him.

The handwringing and circular arguments by O defenders in these simple offseason discussions is driven by petty insecurity and an irrational need to quiet any and all concern about the current coaching staff’s ability to deliver on the promise that they themselves have repeatedly said this program is a capable of achieving.

He wasn’t a coordinator. He’s never been hired to run the defensive side of the ball because he doesn’t know the Xs and Os well wnough
