Do better? Maybe

But as Lou Holtz told Urban Meyer (when Meyer said he was going to pass on celler-dweller Bowling Green), "ARE YOU CRAZY??? If they were any good, they wouldn't hire YOU!!!"

I don’t think we’d lose sleep if he left honestly.

Good coach but we could find another DC

Probably the same way you named DA our HC in waiting

Schiano is a great choice. He made it happen at Rutgers once before. Now he can recruit Big-10 talent. Good luck to him. He got SJW'd at Tennessee.

I did? If I had that type of power he'd have the job.

Man you can't stand Aranda for some reason.

Seems like he sorta was. But now that O is locked in, seems like Aranda has one foot out the door anyway. He'll get a mid-level HC job, if he wants one.

How did you come to the conclusion he should be our HC in waiting?

I love DA I just don’t idolize him like some of you and I actually believe we will be ok if he left.

You act like that idea was my creation or something.

It was actually heavily rumored that HCIW was put into his last contact. How is that my baby according to you?

When I say mid-level, I mean Bowling Green-type... or rock bottom of a Power-5 conf. If LSU wins out, that range may improve dramatically.

Well you mentioned it a lot so I figured you must be in agreement with it. Am I wrong?

Pretty sure the same was being said about Brady after 2 games for OC

Yeah you're wrong. If we're speaking about reality, I don't think he has or has ever had a realistic chance of being HC here once the current coach was hired.

I would like it because I think he'd be great at it but he's not going to ever be the HC at LSU.

Coach O cant even coach his own position (dline) let alone the defense haha

He is doing a good job of coaching the team as a whole and running the program tho. You know the thing he is actually paid for.

I put more stock into what a coach (or anyone for that matter) has done over the course of a career. Short term results are just that, short term results. He didn't forget how to coach.

What a strange list. All over the place but full of guys who would politely pass.

Anyway, they're hiring Schiano.

Must admit I was a huge Aranda fan for the first couple years.....3rd and Aranda represents a change in his coaching philosopy. If we continue not to blitz, and stay in these zone packages, we're in trouble. Please don't blame it on injuries.....we have two of the best corners in the country.
