Doesn't matter at all! Beat Miami, we would've been ranked week two anyway. Lose to Miami, we would've been unranked week two anyway.

5Dimes released its updated Week 1 College Football Lines on Friday and Miami has gone from a 1-point favorite against the Tigers to a 2.5-point underdog.

Line has been all over the place the past few weeks.

I havent seen that at all. Miami -3 on 5dimes now.

So we play 4 of the preseason top 9.

This feels like 2011. Great defense with questions at QB. Tigers came out and took it to Oregon and I hope they do the same to Miami

But we had a better o-line and more experienced wrs and rbs.

None of this matters. Its good they are ranked so high because when we beat the number 8 team by 3 TDs, we will jump in their place.

We have arguably the most talent in the NCAA and the sky is the limit for this team

I disagree. It will take a lot more cause the fix may be in to hold LSU back. feels that way

All of this has been my point all along. The schedule is nothing but an opportunity to get in position to be in the CFP discussion and be invited to a NY6 bowl at the very least.

LSU has all the talent in the world and if the coaching staff is as good as the positive guys have been pushing them as, the schedule shouldn't matter. Just win.

Their qb threw for 30td’s. Yes 14 picks but he’s a year older with another year of development so that int rate almost certainly goes down. And they have Two beast at Rb. If our offense is as bad as the rant thinks we are in trouble.

I respect the hell out of Miami and Mark Richt. I felt the same way about State last year when someone created a thread entitled "worried about State" and the guy got called a pussy in more way than I thought was possible.

I believe LSU can give the Canes a good game, but that offense you mentioned is going to have to be able to move the ball enough to give the defense a breather AND be able to put the ball in the end zone instead of settling for field goals all game.

Most of the positive guys, if you can even get them to commit, are going with eight or nine wins as acceptable. Now, if the last staff was still here, these same guys would be screaming, fire him, fire him if we only won that many.

In an effort to be fair to the coaches and team, a lot of that talent has yet to prove itself in big game action.

No doubt. It's all potential right now. I think the point is that the coaching staff, changes and all of the analysts have been being pumped all off season. Seems to me that those guys should be able to get that talent ready to play. Add to that Orgeron saying that camo was successful and I think the expectation should be that this team is ready.

Not sure about more experienced rec, at least Giles. Isn't he up for some national awards? Hopefully Jefferson is as good as they say. Losing Davis hurt. I know chase is supposed to be good, but he is still a fresh. I think the OL will be better than y'all think. We have our LT back from last year, and brumfiekd. Really need Ingram back, although word is Lewis is doing quite well. Magee filled in well at RT last year, especially the Auburn game. Wish traore was ready. I'm hopeful burrow is the difference.

That's complete bs, just another false narrative. Most of us are realistic. When you play 4 top 9 teams you can expect a few losses..it takes time for all these new players to work together. I don't care how good the coaching staff is. Fact is all you negative posters look for any and every reason to bitch, whether valid or not. Like that 00 tech grad troll. 10-2 or fire him, no excuses. That's complete bs. Say lsu loses a nail bighter to both bama and ga, in the final moments, loses a good game on the road at Auburn, and beats everyone else. That would be a good season. Now, say lsu finishes 9&3 and gets blown the fk out in 3 losses...not so much.

You keep saying this. He had good games against terrible teams, and bad games against good defenses. He is highly innaccurrate and turnover prone. If aranda can't scheme him with the talent we have on d, we are in serious trouble. I'm confident aranda and the d will get it done

9 wins isn't a fireable year IMO as long there are no bad losses like last year. However, I do believe that 10 wins would need to be the bar in 2019.

10 wins certainly shouldn't be out of the question this year. 8 wins is a massive disappointment.

with this talent anything less then 10 regular season wins is disappointing. That allows for a couple of losses. Any more than two loses is disappointing
