i wonder what a different pitching coach would do for him. He's got the skills. Maybe not the arm speed, but if he can get that slider and 2 seam like he once did, he could go higher

He had an extremely shitty year fielding the ball...but I thought he would have been picked somewhere by now.

i think our starting pitching was good enough to go deep in the tourney this year. Bullpen needs more help.

Yes. Our starting pitching was solid.

This guy will be huge out of the pen, if he doesn't sign with the Yankees: Nick Goody

114 K, 33 BB in 84 IP. Touches mid to high 90s. Yes those stats are JUCO stats and should be taken with a grain of salt considering how Mormann and Tyler Jones performed here. But those guys played JUCO ball in Iowa and Wisconsin, respectively. Goody plays in Florida, against premier JUCO competition.

I hope we get some kind of performance like that.

Nola is an average-solid college shortstop. Don't know why so many are surprised he didn't get drafted, and I'm baffled as to why some expected him to go high. He won't be a SS at the next level. Organizational second basemen usually don't get drafted high.

Not at all. He was downright bad at the plate.

He wasn't as bad at the plate as people are making him out to be. He also played a solid Shortstop after the florida series.

I think we are overreacting Nola's asking price was probably to high so no team is even going to take a chance on him. He will be drafted next season, he is one of our better players.

He put together a bunch of 0-fers at the plate.

He had a solid last few games to bump his average up a little bit.
