Giving LSU some props, and using us as an example of SEC's domination of lesser conferences.

I heard him say SC was the best team in the country about 97 times. After saying they didn't deserve to be in the ncg all friggin' year. Dude changes his mind more often than my girlfriend.

He always does that. He changes his opinion to fit with what actually happens after the fact.

I love how every year USC mops up some overhyped but not that great Big Ten team and all of a sudden they are the best team in the country. The beat Illinois? best team in the nation
Beat Penn St? best team
Beat OSU? best team

LSU or Florida beat OSU or Oklahoma? Well...they were supposed to do that. Let's see them play USC. We never hear "USC was supposed to beat Penn St. Let's see them beat LSU or Florida".

That's way high for LSU. I'd put them more like 15-18 going into next season.

Look at from SC's point of view for a second, it's even worse us. All year long we hear about how the PAC is soft, that the SEC and Big12 is so much better, that SC doesn't deserve to play in the ncg, and then EVERY YEAR, like you said, they all change their mind when everything's said and done, "oh well SC is the best team." WELL WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY THIS EARLIER SO THEY COULD GET A SHOT AT IT?!

All this does is piss off anti-SC people for the reasons you stated, and piss of SC fans for being two-faced jerkoffs.

Actually most "experts" did say they want to see an SC UF matchup. And do you really think LSU would come close to beating SC THIS YEAR? In years passed and maybe in the future, but come on, wouldn't happen this year.

True. And FYI, my girl is from New Orleans, and her and her family are big time LSU fans. Good people!

Of course it wouldn't have happened this year. USC had their best defense ever and LSU had inexperienced freshmen at qb.

However, most years you could flip flop who would win between the two teams.

I could agree with that.

And by the way, I told you not to take my mother's earrings, Dignan, and you did it anyway.

I think he was talking about the situation after the last couple of seasons: UF beats OU last night, but people keep questioning whether they could have done that to SC. Even more frustrating for SEC fans was the last two years, when we stomped the Big 10 Champs, and they still kept blowing the SC trumpet for beating the second best Big 10 team. And in every other year, beating the Big 10 Champs in impressive fashion is always good for an automatic, "SC is a deserving Championship Team", and yet when we do it IN the Championship Game, that still doesn't quiet them.

Of course, SC is just an extremely convenient tool for them. The Trojans are a highly successful, high profile team that can (almost) always be counted on for an impressive-looking win on a big stage right at the time sportswriters are looking for stories to stir shite up and take pot shots at their favorite whipping boy, the BCS. I don't think the sportswriters really believe much (if any) of the shite they write anyway, and I think that is doubly true of their pieces on "so-and-so team was REALLY deserving". If they really believed that shite, it wouldn't be nearly as rare to see them making as much of a fuss about teams left out before the BCS bowls as they are afterwards.
