If was truly an illness that suddenly kept him away from the team (some of the players said they didn't know about it till they got to Tampa), it was probably meningitis. Highly contagious in early stages and nothing to mess around with. Any ways wish him the best for a speedy recovery.

Does it matter, LSU won the game without him, he's headed to the NFL. If truly is medical LSU really can't discuss it. My first thought when medical came out was the Noah Spence situation at OSU - possibly some banned substance but without anything concrete from LSU will never know.
