I always get depressed after basketball season since there are no major sports until football starts up again.

I follow MLB but, imo, it's not the same as college baseball. I always get a little down with college baseball is over. It's 60 days until college football. Anyone do the same?

We won the College World Series, hard to be depressed after that triumph! I've always been a pro baseball fan first, but over the years, I've come to enjoy college baseball more. I follow college ball more closely than pro ball now, largely because I'm sick of the way salary determines the competitiveness of the pro teams. College baseball rules.

Plus, the free agents change teams so much that a player you love to hate might be on your favorite team the next day.

And, the College World Series has never been canceled because the players went on strike....

Anyone get depressed when college baseball is over?

I feel it each year. I miss listening to the games on the radio in my shop. I enjoy keeping up with it.

this makes reading a book look intriguing... especially the game part

only exception is if you get one of those great speeches that come along once every 5 years

Not depressed just bored!
I will never lower myself to watching soccer or lacrosse. To me they are not American. I like American sports, Baseball (College), Football and Golf! Oh yea! NASCAR. I just fill my time with NASCAR and Golf time will go by fast enough, do not want to wish my life away. I'll just say that I will be glad when Football gets here!

this stretch of the sports calendar is always the toughest (LSU baseball reduced this stretch this year though) but the silver lining is 68 days to the start of the football season!!!

+1

Well said

I loathe the odyssey that is Major League Baseball. Do they really need to play that many games? Boring.

To everything, there is a season.

That was the season for ... 'Our hitting coach sucks' and 'WTF is up with all the baserunning errors?' and 'Bench (Dean-Ochinko-Helenihi-Mitchell)NOW!! ... threads.

This is the season for ... 'JJ vs JL' and 'Jai vs Hawkins' and 'JaMarcus vs Flynn' ... threads.

I agree with anybody replaying/reliving the 2009 baseball season. It doesn't get much better than that.
