Why would anyone get excited for the hope of firings?

I think Bo has to go, but does it excite me that he’s utterly failed to meet the high expectations that he took on?

No. I wish he’d succeeded wildly. I wish him and his family the best going forward, but there simply isn’t a way to defend the product that he produced. I’m more nervous about getting the right solution for next year than I am anything.

I don't generally get stoked about people getting fired. I'm a miserable person but not that miserable. I'd rather Pelini earned his paycheck and fixed the defense.

I hope not. I think Pelini will field a very good defense next season for LSU. This season his defensive backfield was the worst I’ve ever seen at LSU. He had Stevens, who is a very good player, but is not a safety; he had Stingley, who was rarely on the field. Everyone else was a true freshmen or just a journeyman.

The only pass rushers we had were Ojulari and Gaye. And Gaye could not play against the run. The interior was just okay, and so were the linebackers.

Not excited. And Ayburn made a dumb decision... getting rid of Pelini is expensive and let’s the inmates run the asylum... not smart.

Our recruits who flipped to Bama were supposedly told by Saban that O was gonna be fired Sunday, the day after the final game. Lets see if Saban knows what he is talking about.

So you are saying that coaches lie in recruiting?

I’m hoping something similar for us with at least Pelini and hopefully others.
I dont know if this is true or not but after the hire there was a story that the main reason Bo took this was to remind the world how good he is and get some Joe Brady-level hype and roll that into another head P5 gig.

that plan was not successful.
