Bought 2 early access passes from Bayou traditions for tonight’s game. Taking my son. He has met and has a picture with both Mainieri and Skip. Hoping to get a picture of him with Jay for the trifecta.

That sounds like great fun and even better memories with your son.

Fans who buy the early access BP pass get to go onto the field behind the batting cage during BP while the players and coaches walk around near you.

MLB teams do this. Done it a couple times at Minute Maid. I actually had no idea this was even a thing for LSU though. It’s a pretty cool experience, especially for kids.

If you want a guaranteed souvenir baseball. Get to the game at least an hour early and the visiting team will still be taking BP. Head to the OF bleachers and keep your head on a swivel.

I have done it. It was pretty cool. You prob won’t see jay. Josh jordan spent lots of time with fans and most players stopped by to shake hands and sign a ball. Jay is so, well Jay. He is very focused already by that time of game day. Mid week is better no doubt. I did laTech. I would imagine if 90 mins before Tennessee players would not be as personable as they were for midweek. Some of them we (my teenage nephews) had to call over by name to sign the ball, but none declined once we got their attention.

It’s very cool, especially for the kids to get autographs and interact with the players.
FWIW I also saw and talked to Jay. He was around a good bit.

thanks for all of the replies. My son is looking forward to it. He met Skip last weekend at the book signing. I bought him Skip's book and got him to autograph it. We were the last ones in line on Saturday and Skip was really nice and didn't rush us.

$20 for mid week. Even better. Also they are upfront, it is part of the collective and goes to the players. I won’t just give money to random college kids, but if I get a service for it, i can justify it.

I didn’t make it in time for the book signing on Saturday but the group I go to the games with said that Skip took the time to talk to each person that stood in line, didn’t rush anybody even though he was sitting in the heat.
Skip is the best.

It’s a good time! Nice to watch the players showcase their craft and warmup prior to the game. Always enjoy watching it.
