Charles Scott reminds me a lot of old #4, Charlie Alexander. The size and running style are remarkably similar.

When I clicked on this thread, I thought it was going to be about Shaun Alexander....
Just sayin.

That is before my time. I was thinking Cecil Collins.

When I clicked the thread, I knew it would be Charles Alexander. This is an LSU message board.

Both seemed to bounce off guys...Charlie was more of a high strider. Both were thick as hell. #4 gets the nod because he wore a tear-away jersey and was the coolest looking rb in LSU football history.Plus he gets bonus points for his fro.
It freaks me out that all these guys have no idea who he was or how great he was....A total 1600 yard per season beast.I worshipped him when I was 10.
Getting really old...

Charles Alexander and KW are almost identical in size and talent, great speed and strength and little cutting ability. Alexander did have a good 6-7 year career at FB at Cinncy in the late 70's early 80's. KW and Alexander. Scott is unlike other backs. The way he charges up field recklessly inside the tackles is awesome. He will take some big hits and I am afraid of injuries.

Great running back - got some serious Heisman consideration in 77 (placed 9th), and 78 (placed 5th). One of the smoothest runners I've seen play - also a very articulate young man during his LSU playing days.
to Alexander and to Scott.

If Scott does what he has done for the rest of this season and next season he can match/surpass Alexander The Great.

didn't Charles A. run the 100 as well??

So is the old Charles related to the new Charles?

Scott does remind me of Charles Alexander, only with less top-end speed but with a little better vision and cutting ability. Another similarity is the tremendous improvement each made between their sophomore and junior seasons.

Yeah.... I'm too young to remember Charles Alexander. And even though it is an LSU message board, I thought someone was going to be leaving some trash talking or something about how that Ingram kid looks remarkable similar to Shaun Alexander.
Just sayin.

Pimp, you ain't old, just well seasoned. Same here. I remember watching "Charles Alexandria" , as pronounced in your best recolloction of Cholly Mac voice. Charles A was a beast, and so is Charles S. Both equally fun to watch.
