I heard a few recent interviews by coach Miles and he seems to very confident in our ability to win games. I know some people would love a coach who yells at our players when they make mistakes, but I believe this team plays very hard the way they are being coached up right now. I see high fives being conducted from our assistant coaches to our players all the time. I see our head coach coming out of the tunnel with our players and Miles enjoying every bit of it. Miles never looks nervous and I believe his personality has been rubbing off on our players since Miles arrived on campus. Miles is always quick to compliment our opponents, but also finishes up saying we have a dam good team as well and expect victory. Personally, I love the way he handles this team and how these kids are playing their butts off. I also like how he smooth talks these refs and not yells at them like some coaches do. I spoke with a ref who called an LSU game a few years ago and he said Les Miles is one of his favorite coaches. He said Miles always is calm and conversing about what his team needs to do to aviod a penalty they may have just been flagged for. Keep up the good work Coach.

I have to agree. He's won me over hook, line and sinker. I love how he answers reporter's questions. He enjoys coming across one way and actually being another, i.e. dumb and not able to articulate coherent thoughts vs. sly like a fox. I also love his more positive reinforcing type discipline as opposed to the rip your throught out style of other coaches.

Take all this love with a grain of salt however. What most of us love are his winning ways. We love him and all of his oddities because wins, no question about it. I'd have to admit that if he started losing regularly and badly then all those little quirks we find endearing now will suddenly become annoying.

His personability and the fact that he takes responsibility for what's wrong and deflects praise for what's right are what make me like him most.

Agreed.

Miles disciplines a player when necessary- he got after Mo after the personal foul. He just doesn't blow gaskets to the extent of Saban, Muschamp, etc.

Watching Holgerson, makes me proud to have a coach like Miles roaming the sidelines, not some DOOD dropping F-bombs and looking like a bitch the entire game.

Does it appear to anyone else that Miles has aged quite a bit since his era at LSU began? In his post game interview the other night, I could not help but notice how much older he appeared.

He is very calming on the sideline. I never see him lose his cool or throw things or yell at players, coaches or referees. I realize that his demeanor at practice is probably different, but he looks supremely confident and calm on the sidelines. It must be reassuring to his players to know he has great faith in their abilities.

it takes time to understand a genius's thinking and methods. Folks are catching on that he has a genius formula, and it is full of hard-to-understand quirks.
