Heck no.

Although I still feel like an early season fire was rather unprofessional, I can look at every game from here on out as a positive.....especially once the new coach is announced.

It feels ALMOST like the year that Saban was hired. You just KNEW something big was coming.

The guy that sits behind me at the games may go mute - I think he might be upset that he can't bitch any longer.

Not really.

LSU did what it had to do.

The fanbase needs to be united. I don't know if that could ever happen, but it's a step in the right direction.

I feel liberated.

I can approach the rest of the season and especially next year with hope that watching our offense won't be an eyesore.

I mean. People need to be honest. Other than if you were an LSU fan, LSU football has been unfrickingwatchable. If I were a fan of some other school, of rather watch Roseanne Barr porn than watch LSU football.

frick yes.

I feel like a dog that's been chasing a car for five years and I've finally caught it and don't know what to do with it.

No. The only time Ive ever been this excited as a Tiger fan is when LSU Base won the '09 series.

We can all finally move on and have something positive to look forward to. If not, we move on again and again until we get where we want to be. It really isnt complicated.

My memory is that when Saban was hired, people on LSU boards then were largely pissed.

That's why unless our hire is painfully bad, I won't be saying shite about him till I see product.

Hell. It is arguable that on the day they were hired, fans were happier about hallman than about Saban.

Exactly. The next coach and the backup QB are always the most popular guys. There'll be plenty to get the posi-nega thing rolling. Plus, the Bama troll alters will be in to stir it all up.

I call BS. We lost to UAB and got our arse pounded by Florida (par for the course then).

Nobody knew who Saban was and their was a collective "Who the eff is this guy?" He went 9-2 at Mich St the season before he was hired but had lost at least 5 games every other season.

Serious case of revisionist history.

Not in MY family. And my uncle was good friends with Dinardo. Loved the guy a whole lot. I remember him saying that he had to be impressed with the new hire. I also remember him saying to me "Have YOU heard anything? Cause he better be a good one". His golfing buddy was leaving.

Once Saban was announced, there was a silence in the groups I hung around with because he wasn't a BAD choice....it's just that we had whooped MichSt. in the bowl game prior to it. So, some people were skeptical. But those who watched him build up the MichSt. team knew that he WAS a builder. And LSU needed rebuilding.

The program is in a much better position than that era. This hire has to be big. With a ton of buzz around it. If Alleva f's this opportunity up, THEN we will have something to complain about.

Lots of "fans" were pissed at Saban's hiring, his salary and the fact that none of his assistants followed him here.

Rumor has it that the BRPD has to triple their bridge patrols pulling people off the railings.

Still BS. You might want look at what Perles did at MSU in his first 5 seasons there. THAT was a rebuilding. He was forced out by scandal. Saban hardly had a rebuilding project. He was just in an uphill battle against Michigan and looking for a better out.
