Mulkey didn't sound encouraged
Had to wait to return home to get the MRI which is likely today
Angel was at the food bank on Thanksgiving while team was in Bahamas
If not VA Tech, I think she definitely makes the trip back home for the Dec 20 game against coppin st if not before

As for Reese, Mulkey isn't talking until she's ready. She already said they wouldn't know about Smith until she could get an MRI.

Heard Reese's issue is academics (self-inflicted wounds) and not to expect her back this year.
Hope to be wrong, but my friend is a credible source and has connections in women's athletics from his time in the Tulane athletic department.

So she got word she failed, in the middle of the semester, in the middle of a game, and got the plug pulled on her?
If grades made her inelligible to play, then it would have been since the beginning of the semester. Now... She could have terrible grades currently, which would make her ineligible NEXT semester, and Mulkey wants to let her focus on that now to try to prevent it from coming to that. This wouldn't be decided at half time of a game though.

Her issue has nothing/very little to do with academics. It is all about being a good teammate and taking some time away to improve.
And expect to hear in the next couple of days that Poole is gone for good.

The university would not suspend anyone for grades. Now, it could be that Mulkey has decided to suspend her over midterm grades, but that's not official. That's a coach's decision.

Bruh--the academic counselor came in to the locker room at half time of that game and told Kim that Angel failed a Spanish test and she was immediately ineligible

While it could be true that the academic advisor came in to tell Kim
she had failed a test, she would still be academically eligible. This could
have triggered the suspension based on her semester grades being bad,
but to become academically ineligible during a semester that you started
out eligible, you would have to drop below 12 hours.
