choot em - He worked out in Florida with Paterick Peterson whose Father called him the best young CB he's seen since PP was freshman at LSU. He was shutting down one NFL receiver after the other at PP's work out. //And for how GOOD he WAS,As a true freshman He was cleared and showed up at LSU 2 weeks before the season Started and got playing time immediately. That's what you call raw talent

It's a damn shame if he's really gone. Hope he can figure it out at another school and still maximize his potential.

I think LSU will be more than fine in the defensive backfield, however. We've never been lacking for long and athletic corners. Even should we lose Collins and Mills as well, we will still be adding KT (6'2), Paris (6'1), Cutrer (6'2) and others to the mix.

And rashard robinson was looked at as a great shutdown corner because of 1 game. In that game, Mike Evans had 4 catches on 13 targets, which makes people think the corner shut him down. However, he dropped 2 passes, caught one out of bounds, had Johnny miss him on a slant In the endzone where he burnt rashard, and threw rashard to the ground instantly and ran a go one play, in which he was wide open and Johnny over threw him again. If you go watch some film, I would hardly call him lockdown and watch his feet on the snap, that is why he can't stop a guy like Evans who is big and physical enough to throw him out of the way.

Seems pretty strange to just suspend him indefinitely and not outright dismiss him if it's a done deal. I think there's still a chance he could be back next year but the coaches are leaving it on him. Either he accepts the terms and gets his shite together or transfers in the spring.

The coaching staff is trying to pull two junior college defensive backs, so apparently they think his career is over with us. No one has official answers though

One of them was already committed to use coming out of high school, so this was just more like sending him off to get his grades up.

Despite what people said in this thread, they don't really know if Robinson is gone or not.

Tolliver is here in January. Thomas is progressing and should be available in Spring. Ed Paris is ready for game reps now that he's spent a year in the program and contributing on the field on Special Teams.

Personally, between Tre'Davious White, Kevin Tolliver, Dwayne Thomas and Ed Paris, that's a stout four-man rotation at the cornerback positions. That we're actively recruiting a kid from up near Memphis who just decommitted from Ole Miss and is another mid-term enrollee?

Well, I'll just say all that to say this: Look at the depth chart. Look at who we are recruiting. In JUCO and in this year's class of HS Freshman. We're looking to bring in two more which would put us at 6, and Derek Dillon may end up at corner someday as well.

If you can't see the handwriting on the Rashard Robinson wall, not sure there's any link anywhere that can help anyone in this thread whose not sure of his future.

He's still on the team, and hopefully he stays. Shut down corner cause of one game? CHOOT em Why did Chavis take a True Freshman for the A&M Game and go one on one with Evans, no zone are over the top help ? Because he's not that good? Are Chavis didn't want to show off and put his best corner on EVANS, so he put his worst. LOL

He's super talented but needs to get his head together. Would really suck to see him leave with Collins probably gone and Thomas coming off a major injury. We got Toliver coming in who's going to be a stud but we still need the depth.

He did not take the word student athlete seriously. He forgot about the first part.

I can see a veteran player looking to enter the draft blow off school, but a player who skipped school his first two years probably struggled quite a bit with classes and may have felt it was hopeless. Surely, they can provide the necessary tutoring and help if he's willing.

To my knowledge he never acted like a bad citizen. I wonder if LSU could have sat on him a little more. It seems schools will do whatever they can to save a criminal.

Unless he was totally uncooperative, I believe a quality kid should be helped and monitored.
