You see, I only suggested this a few pages back to have a discussion about it and then everyone jumps on me. It's as if this site promotes a "bury our heads in the sand" approach. Of course I will defend myself, especially when people just write it off as if it could never happen. Im just speculating, I never said my opinion was set it stone, but the fact that my speculation gets criticized instead of considered is alarming.

Because dumbass, the financial aid office doesn't go shopping for them, it pays off certain big things and then cuts them a check for the rest. Do you not remember the UGA players getting in trouble for trying to cash their checks at multiple places? Football players scholarships are nearly 30K. My last year at LSU I borrowed 15K and had more than enough to buy a laptop and and plenty of other dumb things college kids blow money on.
