And, true to form, many fans have bitched, moaned and whined their way through it despite the team exceeding all preseason projections. Even in a blowout win the acid and anger were evident. This is a toxic and dysfunctional fan base in need of therapy and healing. Yes, the team has some challenges but seems to be moving in the right direction. A win against the Aggies will complete a really nice season against a brutal schedule. Lots of positives to build on.

We need to upgrade the Oline and DLines this offseasons. It is the biggest needs. I think Joe will do great with some time in the pocket next year. He needs to work on his deep ball skills and the clock in his head a bit though.

Agree. Recruit the trenches and further develop Burrow. Hopefully Brennan can really put on about 25 lbs in the next year and continue learning what it means to lead a team.

No, it's another season almost in the books, and it's been another year of people like yourself whining about people who don't hold up signs proclaiming their love for their (apparently) irreproachable football team.

You see, most fans have an ability to observe their team objectively. And they will make comments based on reality, and not the emotional desire to call a 32 point win over a team whom you were favored to beat by 42, a "blowout".

Then there are people like yourself, who take the opposite approach to all of these things, and anyone who does not agree with you is obviously just miserable, selfish and no fun at parties. And you take examples of people, whose emotions seem to rise and fall with the sun, and paint them as the face of the entire fan base, all while failing to recognize that you are reading posts from people who are mainly just kids, on a message board.

Take your sanctimony somewhere else.

Up until the BAMA game. It was like reliving 2012 all over again but worse.

Well the schedule wasn’t as difficult as originally thought due to Miami and Auburn being bad but a 10 -2 record would still be very nice. This tenth win will be no gimmie though, it will be very hard to come out of there with a win.

Uh, this is a typical fanbase for a major college football team. FSU fans wanted their new coach gone after the first game and started a GoFundMe to that end. Miami fans are livid because the U isn't back. Ohio State fans are mad because they lost to Purdue. TAMU fans are upset with their season and Jimbo. This is college football and LSU is just like every other major program.

Don't forget, Tiger Rant represents a very, very small portion of the fan base. A majority of LSU fans don't even know what this is. And there are many trolls and alters on here so what you get is skewed anyway. Don't take this place or LSU football too seriously or you will need therapy.

The thing is, I've been as positive as this season has warranted. I came into the season with relatively low expectations, but I picked LSU to beat Miami, because I believed Miami was overrated. They were. I thought Auburn would be better than they are, and didn't think LSU would win there, but they did. I was happy about that. I began to feel hopeful about this season. Then the Florida game happened. Ah, but then, the Georgia game followed that up, and I was talking this team up, while trying to maintain a level head, knowing our tendencies to go into a shell against Alabama.

And when that game came along, the staff indeed went into that shell. And I have expressed my displeasure with the inability to adjust and develop an offense that can compete for something meaningful.

In short, I've enjoyed what was enjoyable. Not everything about LSU football is enjoyable to me. But I don't need this game to provide my happiness. Some people seem to rely on football so much, that they will tell themselves whatever they have to, to make everything ok. That's fine. Just don't apply your rules to me.

Even that day was fricking awesome. The excitement and energy is everything you want from a home game.

The perfect season for too many LSU fans is an undefeated season where they win the national championship with their backup QB and fire the head coach at the end of the year.

And that is an obvious lie, and an excellent way to render your self-righteous views as meaningless and hypocritical.

Here's the thing: I am not offended if you think everything is rosy and bright with this team. It doesn't affect me, whatsoever. You, on the other hand, are so sure that you are morally above it all, that you can just call anybody out who has an analytical viewpoint of the game, rather than just blind fandom.

And you are so hell bent on this initiative, that you will make up a scenario that is completely unrealistic. Ed Orgeron didn't take over a dumpster fire. He took over for a guy who was fired for the very reasons that Orgeron is criticized. He has lots of talent, and the program just stays in neutral. If he takes it out of neutral, and proves he can consistently compete with the best, then people will believe in him.
