Another reason to be optimistic about this offense: Emery and Davis have yet to play

No knock against what Brossette and CEH did for us last year, but it was the first season in a while that we didn't have a true stud in the backfield. I can't say I know a lot about Tyrion Davis, but I could see Emery winning the starting role right off the bat. Coupled with Burrow having a full offseason with this team, a season receriver corps, and the potential to have defenses fear the running game again, and oh yeah........Joe Effin Brady is here, I think it's going to be a fun year.

John Emery Jr

Excited about the young guys coming in, and they will be added to an already-impressive list of skilled players.

Still need the OL to solidfy as a group, learn their assignments and just get stronger. If we can improve on the OL, it could be very exciting this year.

Have you seen his high school highlights?

He'll be hard to keep off the field early this fall.

There's only so many carries to go around.

I can tell you guys now that the coach isn't going to just demote guys like CEH and Fournette, guys that have earned trust. He's very much a loyalist to established players. So if they're established, Emery and Davis are both awesome, and Curry's awesome, what's the pecking order?

That wasn't meant as a dis on Curry, and he could very well be a good back, but just based on hype coming in, I feel the ceiling will be a good bit higher for Emery and Davis and it will be hard to keep THEM off the field.

Unless he's just not as good as advertised, I fully expect Emery to be the #1. CEH, with seniority, will probably be #2 by default, Davis and Curry interchangeable (I'd like to see a bigger sample size of Curry to really feal good about that prediction, though). Lanard will end up being the odd man out.

I do not see Curry getting a lot of carries.
By mid season, i suspect we'll see a lot of Emery, Davis and CEH.

CEH is going to be very good in this offense IMO.

He's a very underrated running back.

Well it'll be interesting to see.

I think Emery may end the year as the starter but think CEH gets the most run the first half of the season.

Clyde will definitely start the season but a talent like Emory isn't going to sit long.

Yep.

They're going to use him in space a whole lot it appears. And he is absolutely lethal in space.

CEH & Emery give you the speed and cutting while Davis and Curry can give you the power game. Throw in Lanard Fournette who can do a little of both and we are stacked at RB

Im more excited about Davis then Emery. That boy film is Fournette-like. OP is right if we had backs like this last year we win the A&M game easily. These guys are gamebreakers. We didn't have that last year.
