Both quarterbacks looked sharp on their throws and each displayed good mobility on rollout passes.

Shockingly though, when running option tosses with the running backs, Lee actually delivered the ball and carried out the fakes better than Jefferson.

It's practice but from what I remember the 1 time Lee ran the option last year it was an abortion.

Glad to see he's improved. Despite gaining weight he looks much healthier this year.

what myth? You think Lee is actually a threat to RUN the ball in the option. Not hating on Lee, but the thread is stupid

Practice, everyone looks good in practice, JL would look awful running the option in a real game like he did last year.

You forgot to copy/paste the entire paragraph...

But surely that comes from Lee having more game experience.

well...it was called some with him in the game last year, not sure why. Might be a check play that they want him to be ready to run. Although I'm sure these are just drills, not actually practicing plays.

I saw him run it twice against Bama, I think he pitched both times. he looked ok running it, just not that quick. one of the plays went for a nice gain.

as for JJ, no big deal, he just might not be good on option pitches right now. Herb wasn't that great at it early on.

Thats the writers opinion, which is why he was shocked in the first place. Why is that hard to comprehend that no one saw this coming?

How has it bit the dust?

I'm just hoping its a sign that JL's a true competitor. One of the big knocks was that he was no threat to run. Hopefully, he's got the fear factor behind him, and now ready to man up.

He was 216 last year. 225 this year. He did probably gain some weight during the season though. He had a GUT.

That JJ was the better QB because he was a dual threat.

That shockingly, JL looked better at the dual part of the threat. But as has been said, it is early, and a non-contract drill.

I'm just hoping that fans will see there is more to the guy. I have a feeling we will need him to contribute, in a major way.

We are talking about the first days of practice. When are you geeks going to relax and let things play out in their own time?

I expect both J.J. and J.L. to be much better this year. Who turns out to be the best, nobody knows, but with our coaching staff, both will have their moments this year.
