From the 3rd inning Saturday through the 6th inning Sunday, the leadoff hitter for MSU reached base every time. That's 12 straight innings!!!! They obviously didn't bat in the bottom of the 9th on Saturday.

And in the first 6 innings Sunday, none of them reached on a base hit.

Another important point you made, thank you! I’m feeling extra upset too. These guys arrived to state very inspired but just found ways to blow all 3 games. It’s so beyond frustrating I just can’t hardly stand it.

Are we going to find ways to blow leads and lose ballgames to South Carolina next weekend? That’s bothering me as I type. I’m not sure if watching these “bad news bastards” is not very bad for my health.

I'd like to know how many walked and also where LSU stands in leadoff walks given up.

That’s called just being bad at baseball. The teams they face are just better than them. Plain and simple.

At least they took the lead in every game this series

Not once did LSU lead during the entire series against A&M. At home

Our pitching staff had more hits this weekend than our own batters! They hit the state batters while we couldn't get hits to keep the leads we created early on in each game, only to lose 'em all.
This last game really turned into a shite show. The bizzare, uncharacteristic display from our players from time to time was eye-opening. The positives that were noted is: Braun will be a solid player, as well as Cerna...both are reliable at bats and show promise for being freshmen.
I can't think of any pitcher from our bullpen who I feel 100% certain about to do the job. Before this past weekend I was thinking Sheerin was "the Man" but his performance on Sunday wiped that thought away!
Can't LSU get any quality pitchers anymore? I hope this trend doesn't continue its' downward spiral.

Just one of the many things a better pitching coach would clean up imo. We also need a coach that can teach how to catch and throw the baseball. If these areas improve, I believe LSU can be a good team next year. If we just continue on the same path we are on, we will have an identical year next year, and then the knives really start talking. Time to cut bait with some of the assistant non coaching coaches. LSU and JJ can do better.
