I thought we expected playoffs. 11 wins in the regular season. We're favored in all but one game. All anyone is asking for is for him to do what's expected. No one's asking him to win games in which we're not favored.

So now we're downgraded to "we expect to be in contention."
How's that different than when Miles was here? His last full year (you remember, the year he almost got fired) LSU was in the first playoff ranking. That's literally "in contention."
The expectations get lower and lower as the season approaches.
By August it's going to be "I hope we have a winning record this year."
