Obviously race is a big issue in our country at the moment and the fact that our country commended Caitlyn when she did it and trashed Angel when she did is pretty fricking eye-opening. Just saying.

This is just stupid.. This is the kind of mindset that keeps race the issue.. I mean god forbid two highly competitive people talk trash back n forth to one another.. If the tables would have been turned and Iowa was curbing stomping LSU and Clark would have done it then everyone would be up in arms questioning if Clark is a racist.. It's purely pathetic what our country has devolved into..

First, I’m not saying the Iowa chick doesn’t or hasn’t trash talked during games. I’m sure she has. But the hand waiving video from the Louisville game that everyone is passing around was not done specifically to one person or a group. The Louisville bench is clearly off to her side/back and you can see her Iowa teammates approving in the same direction that she is walking while making the gesture.

Nope, she did it when there was timeout and all the lousiville players were walking back to the bench, they passed right in front of her as she was doing it

The entire quote, taken in context is telling it like it is.
“All year, I was critiqued for who I was. I don’t fit the narrative. I don’t fit the box that y’all want me to be in. I’m too ’hood. I’m too ghetto. Y’all told me that all year,” Reese said.

Then, in an apparent reference to Clark, she added, “When other people do it, y’all don’t say nothing.

“So, this is for the girls that look like me. For those that want to speak up for what they believe in. It’s unapologetically you.”

Case closed.

Well I don’t see you missed her looking directly at #10 for Louisville as she passed through the frame lol. It’s quite obvious

I swear, lots of you people need to turn in your Tiger fan card. And several should turn in their man card!

Men in sports trash talk and taunt opponents all.the.time!
It's the norm for men.
But God forbid a woman has some shite in her grit and does the same.
Wouldn't that be called being sexist?

The difference between all of these situations is ….. it doesn’t matter. Some athletes talk trash. Some don’t. Some scream. Some don’t. People complain no matter what. Jimmy Connors was a screamer and a trash talker. John McEnroe was a screamer and a trash talker. Folks complained that they both cheapened the game. Some loved them for it. White racists hated Ali, another big trash talker. Caitlyn Clark is a trash talker. Angel Reese is a trash talker. Guess what? None of it matters.

Reese turned it into a big victimhood narrative when she objectively did something that would have drawn this kind of criticism no matter who did it.

I might agree with you if not for the fact that the media seemed to have it out for her, Kim and this team all year.

Angel just set an NCAA record for double-doubles in a season, but ESPN only sent out an update about her taunting. She was the best player on a national championship winning team, yet received zero votes for national player of the year.

You might not like her playing victim, but she's somewhat justified AND she called out the media after actually winning it all. She's not manufacturing a complaint after a loss like Dawn Staley did.
