I was deliberately abstract. My post makes clear we should at least try something new at QB. But it also talks about the playcalling and the change needed there too. Frankly, I don't care if it means just letting Billy G call the plays.

2)Not as immediate (but soon), find us and hire an OC who can build on the talent you have recruited and take it to championship competition levels.

What would be the effect of replacing an OC in midseason? Could the offense get any worse during transition? Can they get any worse than they are now?

I'd rather Miles do this in a more subtle fashion. You don't want any more drama than is required. That's why Miles hasn't made the switch at QB. He believes JJ can do it and wants stability. At some point though, you have to realize it is not working and your stability goal is really creating instability on the team. You could read it on the players' faces that they aren't sure what to think about JJ.

Mike - very well written and I appreciate that you posted the positives first. This is one of the best defenses I've seen and I love watching them as well as the great special teams effort and the much improved O Line.

Regarding the playcalling and qb development, I saw this story play out at Oregon under Crowton (have a friend who's son played there at the time). Why was this allowed to continue into this year?
The Oregon & BYU people here will tell you that LSU must rid themselves of Crowton because this is exactly what they had with him.

I agree with you. My question is "doesn't our head coach get $3.8 large a year to recognize talent and plug holes that develop i.e. because of the Ryan Perrlloux departure?

Thanks for the letter! well thought out in my opinion.crowten should have been gone a long time ago and when we get another oc we need to let him do the off coaching. We need to change the mindset that if we are winning we go to prevent deff on offence. It just seems to me that if we get an early lead we somehow try and run the clock out ,, even if it is the first quarter

That was well said and much more thought out and coherent than 95% of the stuff posted on here.

I will say that, while I think Miles would be wise to give Lee a chance, I think he should do it because it gives the team the best chance to win. I think any coach who makes personell decisions based upon the demands of the fans is making decisions for the wrong reasons.

It would be nice if he actually did read it. Well written and spot on. I guess I feel that way because I see it about the same as you do. Damn we are close to being good. Very, very close.

JJ has a want to be accurate, lol I had to do it.
On a serious note Mike I agree with you all the way and I do think this letter should be posted all around the lsu campus, and in all media outlets around BR.

His receivers that he has nearly gotten killed are not hiding what they think. And the OL has to be frustrated after they took all the blame for how pitiful JJ was last year. And the defense for having to keep trudging out on the field after 3 and outs. And PP, who keeps cramping up from carrying the weight of our scoring burden all on his back. No, I think they are probably as mystified as we are about why he is still running our offense.

Completely 100% agree

Les lost me after Ole Miss last year, but I had a little bit of amnesia I guess, because I have halfway defended him thus far, but pretty impossible to do so after last night, I feel for his team the way he is managing this situation
